Very nice beach, easily reachable by bus from the center. It took maybe 15 minutes or even less. Near it there is the beach Stoja which has a shower and many facilities. If you go on opposite direction of Stoja , more to the right of Valovine, there are rocks used by the Croatians as beaches but quite complicated for me. I prefered just Valovine. Calm!

Valovine nude beach is located in Stoja, Pula. If you are coming from the center of the town (bus station), you can take bus #1 and go all the way to Stoja. Then you have to walk 5-10 minutes towards the woods and follow the trail. Once you are there you will see rocks and that's the place you are looking for. It is perfect if you are into nude beaches. Walking into water could be tricky but managable. Also, this beach is gay friendly. Lots of sun, but if you get tired of the sun or it's too much for you, you can go back to the woods, there you can find good place to put your towel and lots of shade with the view of the endless sea.

The best beaches near town center are not the shallow bays around Stoja camping village but closer at Sisplac in the same direction. My favourite swimming is at Gortanova uvala where the pebble beach is surrounded by great cliffs descending to the turqouise water. Refreshments are served all day long at Pomidor restaurant as customers pop in for drinks or hamburgers. Just around the next bend appears Valkane bay with easier access to the sea from low rock boulders. Here are several cafeterias, Sumi beach offering also lounge chairs and water sports.

Make sure you buy some nautical shoes and gloves .
I was bitten by a sea urchin - not poisonous but annoyingly uncomfortable to have small prickles buried in my hand and feet for days after .
It’s quite rocky on the first part of the sea when you get in , then quickly it’s 3 metres deep .
The positive is the sea isn’t too cold and ok once you get in . The beach area also has plenty of shade .

Walked here from the Old City, nice walk, but realized after the fact we could've driven and saved a lot of time. But the views and scenery here were unrivaled. Loved walking over the rocks at the ocean's edge. My husband, a rock climber, got to do a little climbing, even though he didn't have his gear. Great place to spend a sunny day or just have an afternoon picnic.

There are nice rock beaches closer to town at Sisplac around hotel Pula. The bus 2a from city center has the nearest stop at Tomasinjeva street, there are several bakery shops and a supermarket to stock up for picnic. Down at the bay Pomidor serves snacks and drinks, Valkane on the Lungomare has a full menu. The water is chrystal clear and easily accessible from steps with handrails only problem being the big brown medusa like creatures floating around in the warm water, an August special the locals told.

It's an amazing experience if you are not afraid of diving! Crystal clear waters, sharp edges (shoes will help you a lot) and live "beach". Definitely go!

Quite a nice place, quiet, not too many youngsters. Not much in the way of sand where we were, but there is shingle. Just bring a lilo. The water is warm, clear, and very salty. No rubbish that I saw, no facilities for washing off either, but tbh as we were staying near that was OK. Recommend, but advise it is a walk from the car park.

No sand here, just slabs of rock. Easy bus ride from Pula. Don't be surprised to see the occasional naturist.

This spot is full of great swimming areas. Excellent for child, pets, and adults. There is also a coffee shop and restaurant very close so you can refuel and keep hanging out as long as you like. Probably one of the better beaches in the area.
