Square Poljana R. Boskovica is at the bottom of the famous Jesuit step used in the Game of Thrones episode walk of shame.
Only open in the mornings selling local grown fruit and vegetables and assorted tourist souvenirs.
There is a statue to poet Ivan Gundulic, and a fresh water drinking fountain popular with the local pigeons and lots of shady cafés where you can get an Icy cold adult beverage.

TIP: Go early to avoid the summer sun and the 1000's of Cruise ship passengers.

Had a walk round the market stalls and I’ve got to say that the smells from the fresh fruit were just amazing. Worth a visit if visiting the old town.

The Gunduliceva Poljana Market is open daily until 12 or 12:30pm. Definitely go there to buy local dried fruit, candied nuts, fresh soaps, and local olive oil and fruits/veggies!

This square in a hearth of Dubrovnik Old Town got its name by one of the most popular Dubrovnik writers and poets, Ivan Gundulic. He is an author of "Ode to Freedom" unofficial anthem of Dubrovnik Republic and you can see his statue in the centre of this square. There is also one small fountain with drinkable water to help people and pigions survive hot Dubrovnik days. During the morning hours, you can find many domestic products from the Dubrovnik region, mostly fruit and vegetables. There are also severals stands selling different types of homemade local lavender products. a great and not expensive Dubrovnik souvenir.

This is an open air market in the midst of the buildings. It was generally selling fresh fruits and vegetables. There were some oil shops . There was a distinct smell of lavender all around. This was due to the
dried lavender, lavender oil, and other products. Some varieties of brandies were also on sale.
The market opens every morning and closes in the afternoon, so if you would like to visit and look around, you need to visit early. People sell  fresh local products grown in the fields just outside the Town.
It is a very colourful place with the big coloured umbrellas and the colourful ware that they sell.

Poljana Square is the largest square inside the walls of Dubrovnik. Today it is a place of market stalls, restaurants and the monument to baroque poet Ivan Gundulic.

Large open-air market in a very large square. Lots of stalls to puruse and very very busy. My family and I had a short stop off in Dubrovnik whilst on a TUI cruiser and we all enjoyed the stroll around.

Very nice. Lot's of pigeons! Atmospheric. At the time of COVID-19 somewhat less busier and also not so many market stalls. The ones that were open were very nice.
