We went to lopud for a day as we were staying in Dubrovnik city. There were excursions advertised there from the local harbour but they were 150Kn each to get to the island! I'd read on here that you could get the ferry yourself so...More

We visited Lopud as part of a boat day trip to the Elaphiti Islands. It’s really beautiful, with typical Mediterranean vegetation and sandy beaches.

We got a boat to Lopud Island for lunch and was a very nice boat journey seeing all the smaller island as we cut through the beautiful crystal blue sea (we travelled from Cavtat). As we approached the island, there was this amazing hotel that...More

We went to Lopud as part of a boat tour, but we wish we'd had more time there. The island is beautiful and, when we went, it was quiet - hardly anyone there. There's an absolutely LOVELY beach on the island that you can easily...More

This is an island which offers so much and the food is incredible. Just a short boat trip from Dubrovnik and there is the Monastery and the Nature Park

Last stop on our boat trip, a cracking island and it is worth taking the 'taxi' ride over the hill into the sandy beach and bay. Tip would be to make sure the return journey drop you back where you got on. We thoroughly enjoyed...More

This delightful little island of some 220 souls is a reminder of the seaside resorts of old. Charming and unspoiled promenade, simple restaurants, a cracking medieval monastery and a general sense of calm. One of its beaches also accommodates naturists, handy for those who like...More

We visited the Island as part of a private boat trip from the old town. It is beautiful, quaint and so relaxing. We would certainly go back there and stay at the Islands hotel for a few days

Walked up the hill to the C14 church ruins, nothing much changed here for 100+ years. Affluence followed by Communism and war 25 years ago ... And sandy beeches, with excellent food and views made this visit better than parts of historic Dubrovnik!

Enjoy islands, there's plenty of them in Croatia so go and enjoy them, especially if you like somewhere to rest up after a walk. Lopud is no exception. Very pretty.

No do not need to pre-book. You may take the golf cart ride to Sanje Beach or you can also walk. It takes less than half hour to walk.

Plenty of restaurants and a lovely place to go - it’s about half an hour boat ride away. Not sure about credit card though - take cash just in case
