A lovely little island! Small enough to walk about; indeed no cars are allowed. We had a conference in a magnificent old monastery, newly restored by an art institute financed by Francesca von Habsburg. A fairytale experience!

The monastery is only a few steps to your left. But if you can, confirm whether it's open to the public as there was restoration work going on when I was there and it was closed. They rent golf carts right at the ferry drop... More

Public transport can be obtained in Dubrovnik at the ferry terminal. There's a lot going on with the cruise ships, but forget everything and head towards the ferry that takes the islanders and touring people on a small ferry... More
