It turned out on the day we went there were 4 cruise ships docked. The old town was heaving with people and really made it feel very touristy. Still the architecture is quite I spoilt and fascinating. Plenty of shops to buy clothes, shoes and souvenirs or restaurants for a coffee or meal. We actually went out of the East... More

Such a beautiful place - we stayed inside the Old Town, so were lucky enough to wander the streets at night when the rest of the tourists had left. Every corner has another beautiful view. The walk around the old walls was breath-taking! The restaurants we tried were all good in the evening, but the daytime service was a bit... More

Very nice and the most famous part of Dubrovnik. I was there with one Czech lady which live there more than 30 years so I got all information about history and whole city. It is romantic place with many restaurants and bars and also historical monuments.

It's not for all budgets, I stayed only 3 days and felt it is made to squeeze the money out of you. Heard another tourist it is like a disneyland feels kind fake because it was rebuilt, but I don't care is lovely and very romantic. Not sure how prices are in other cities of Croacia , but this one... More

Charming place. Early April is a good time to visit. Even though it's busy, it's not too busy. There's so much to see and do. I just loved every minute of it.

Dubrovnik might have been under dreadful military siege 25 years ago, but this World Heritage site has been restored to its full beauty. So much to see in such a compact space. Full of atmosphere.

This old town is one of the best. Its small and easy to nevigate in. Its on a butifull rock hill which makes it pastoralik. Its full of little nice coffee shops and resturants you just want to wonder around all day long. There are all the annoying people that sell you the day trips (this thing is kilking me).... More

One of the best and most attractively compact places in Europe to spend half a day strolling, shopping, and enjoying a coffee together in a sidewalk cafe. The pedestrian-only sense of security, comfortable scale (with some challenging journeys up long steps to shops off the core area), and historic atmosphere of the Old Town area set it apart from many... We visited here every night of our city break as the place was always vibrant and buzzing. A great place to sit and be surrounded by so much history whilst drinking local beer and people watching. Food and drink surprisingly reasonable considering this is the main tourist area. Fabulous views in the drinking holes in the city walls. We learnt... More
