We went by the ferry at the port of dubrovnik. I recommend you to go earlier as the queue can be long and only got one trip in the morning. The island is wonderful, we rented a bike and did a tour of it, specially the small lake which was amazing. The color of the water is absolutely blue and... More

I went with a couple of friends and hired bikes! We rode around the park and found beautiful secluded swimming areas. The water is crystal clear and your served with mountainous views and the trees and plants are incredibly lush!

What an amazing place with such an interesting history. Definitely rent a bike and take a slow cycle around the lake. It's breathtakingly beautiful with a quaint monastery on an island. There is also place to swim. Mljet is a must.

We managed to get 2 bikes for the day (11-4) for 150kn at polace port - loads cheaper than inside the park itself. Theres a supermarket and pla es to eat here. Ask for student discount for park entry! We came for a day trip from dubrovnik and it was nice to get away from the busy city. If you... More

You can reach this georgeous green island by ferry and drive along serpentine paths with amazing sea view and georgeous bays. There is also a National Park with a lake but you have to buy a ticket for that.

We wanted to visit the national park and were saying in Dubrovnik during August. This wasn't so easy and we heard from several places that there is a lot of demand for the catamaran from Gruz Port to Mljet (Polace), requiring an unreasonably early visit to the ticket office. We set off in a hire car to see the coast... More

Getting there couldn't be easier on the catamaran ferry Nona Ana from Dubrovnik. Check online for timetables and either book online the day before or arrive at the ticket kiosk early in the morning. Be aware, it's cash only! Can't begin to describe how beautiful the national park is - so green, the salty lakes so blue, clear and inviting.... More

We were blown away by this island and extended our stay from 1 night to 2 nights. We stayed in Sobra both nights and it is a lovely little village with spectacular views over the water. We didn't hire a car but if you have the financial means we would recommend doing so because the island is quite big and... More
