Great place to see the old city from. The was is a bit of a haul, but it is worth it. There is a charge to get into the fort, but go for it. Also, several scenes from Game of Thrones was filmed in here.

Some beautiful views from up here and a real sense of history. There were a lot of Game of Thrones tours around so be careful if you are trying to avoid spoilers (I haven't yet finished the books!) The ticket price is covered in the city walls ticket so worth the walk up. It would be nice to have had... More

Yelena was our guide for our game of thrones tour & was very good. Well worth doing to see the A4 size photos of where some of the filming was done.

Most of the fun of this fortress was finding it, or rather how to get to it. We weaved through the alleyways and it was neat to see part of the city that exists outside the walls. The trail/stairs leading up to the fortress are picturesque and the grounds at the top are nice. Lots of places to relax and... More

The fort is free to visit if you purchased a ticket to the city walls and I'd say the climb is comparable if not less intense! There were a bunch of King's Landing scenes filmed here, and a great view to where other scenes were filmed. In the summer, you can watch a Shakespeare play here--this is a must! It's... More

Visited as part of our Game of Thrones tour, interesting structure with great views. It was setup for a production of Hamlet which I'm sure would have been great in this surrounding. Better and more interesting because of the tour we were on rather than just visiting.

Watched the production of Hamlet here as part of the summer festival - it was brilliant! We'll worth coming for the views and to explore the place.

A small turret compared to the city - eventually found a path to get us there and later discovered access via a small harbour too (although this is by steep rocky steps). Small charge for entry, but if you visit the city walls your ticket will get you in Fort Lawrence free. Fab views of the city and the coastline.

A lot of steps, but plenty of places to stop on the way taking in the view.. Admission is included with your walls ticket. Nothing much to see inside the fort, the visit is more about the view.

Only through TripAdvisor comments did we learn that Fort Lovrijenac was included in the Walls pass. The climb was not nearly as tough as anticipated -- with benches along the way. The views back to the Old City and of the kayakers below made the climb so worthwhile! We highly recommend this.
