Lokrum is a small island only 15 minute ferry from old port Dubrovnik, the ferry is 100kn per person and includes the entry into the reserve. We spent half a day here, arrived at 12pm and left on the last ferry. It's easy enough to walk around the island and see a few of the sights, they also have a... More

15 minutes from the old town harbour takes you to a peaceful oasis, although this could have been down to the time of day we went( early afternoon). Makes a pleasant change to busy old town. Worth a trip out

The Island of Lokrum is a great day trip if you have time when in Dubrovnik. We were there in the sizzling month of July and couldn't bear to be within the city walls during the middle of the day so had a great full day at Lokrum Island instead! The ferries run every half hour in summer and the... More

We went end of August and the boat was full but once you get on the island, it is pretty peaceful! You can walk around the whole island, and find a quiet spot to sunbathe, and swim. I recommend walking further around the island to find the less busy spots as usually people set up their bathing spots close to... More

We went to Lokrum Island with a group of 35 people who gathered for my daughters wedding. Just beautiful there. You can swim in the Dead Sea or ocean or walk around the island. We sat with the group under a cabana with tables and chairs. So much fun. There are great lounge chairs (no charge) where you can bask... More

Once you run out of things to do in the old town or need a slight escape from the crowds a visit by ferry to lokrum is a decent alternative. The ferry runs every 30mins and costs 100 kuna return. Has to be paid in cash and tickets are bought at the pier. The ferry takes about 15mins and i... More

A short boat trip of about 15 minutes gets you to this piece of paradise! It's 100 kuna return and we recommend you go early. Boats start running at 1000 and the last one back is at 1800. It is a beautiful spot with forest walks, swimming and great places to rest and eat or drink.

We ended up walking around the entire island unintentionally but it was beautiful nonetheless. There's a nice nudist area with loads of flat rocks for sunbaking, it's like a sauna when the rocks heat up. If you're shy be warned kayak groups go past as do tourist boats. The island is covered with cute, friendly rabbits who may nibble you.... More

This is a quick 10-15 minute boat ride from the old town. Bring your swimsuit and walk the island. The rocky sea shore has very sturdy metal ladders going into the water making swimming and getting out very easy. It's perfect if you only have a 1/2 day or a few hours to cool off from the Croatian heat as... More
