Ivana ist from Dubrovnik and knows the city insideout. Ivana speaks English very well and is easily understood. She gave us a great tour of the old town, just the right dose of old and recent history, mixed with anecdotes and interesting facts and just the right length of 60-90 minutes. Ivana's tour was different from what you sometimes see: Guide talks to grown-ups, bored teenager-kids try to stay awake. She addressed our kids and her recommendations of what to additionally do and see while in Dubrovnik were perfect for the whole family: A walk around the own town walls, renting kayaks to enjoy a great view of the old town from the sea, a nice hidden bar/café at the foot of the old town walls overlooking the sea, ride in a cable car to a view point on the mountain with a fantastic view of the old and new Dubrovnik. When traveling to Dubrovnik you should consider a tour with Ivana, I strongly recommend it.

Highly recommended. Take this tour! it is short but extremely informative. You'll learn things which you cannot just look for yourself about the history politics and everyday life of the people, but also architecture and current life here. Our guide Nikola was very knowledgeable, has huge respect for tourists and love for the city and is also obveiously very experienced traveler himself It was a pure pleasure.

We booked the free tour and met our guide Pero whose English was impeccable. We always aim to go early in the morning as areas less crowded. Pero explained brief history of the town and explained the relevance of the buildings we were looking at. The walk was for two hours and was comprehensive.

We just completed the 1.5 hour walking tour of the Dubrovnik Old Town. Our guide, Marko, made our experience a "once in a lifetime activity. He was simply the "best of the best" and we can not thanking him enough for making our experience such a memorable one!
We have spent every wedding anniversary for the past 25 years in a major European city. We've ben blessed with some amazing experiences but we have never enjoyed and learned more from a 1.5 hour introduction to an "old town" than the one we just had with Marko. Because the old town is very easy to navigate most folks never leave the main street, Stratdum . However, if you really want to understand its history, culture , and uniqueness you must go behind the scenes and explore areas off the beaten path.
As a long time resident of the Old Town Marko has first hand knowledge of experiencing the war at age four, being a refugee in his own country and seeing the transformation of his city from ruins to renewal and new birth.
PLEASE start your Dubrovnik experience with the Walking Tour of Dubrovnik and hopefully get Marko as your guide, His knowledge, professionalism, passion, humorous stories and engaging personality will inspire and motivate you to learn about Croatia and the "Jewel of the Adriatic" Dubrovnik!

Done a 2 hour tour starting at the large fountain just inside pile gate. Tour starts outside the city walls with a visit to Fort lovrijenac (Toilet here) and the bay. Guide had photos to show all the scenes from GOT. It did help you to remember a lot.The tour them moved back into the old town with a visit to more filming locations including the Spanish steps (walk of shame) .The tour was 150 Kuna and another 50 Kuna each to enter Fort
Lovrijenac. Would recommend doing a tour to anyone.

My girlfriend and I booked the Game of Thrones walking tour in Dubrovnik and had a great experience. Ivan (the guide) was brilliant, he was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the city and the show which made the experience even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend to any game of thrones fans, and even to any none fans as well as there are some incredible views on the walk

2 weeks after our trip, and I still remember Ivona's walking tour like it was yesterday. She was so funny and it may sound odd, but I really felt connected to her during the short 2-hour walking tour of her city that is so obviously close to her heart. She made each of us feel welcome, acknowledging where we all came from and thanking us for visiting Dubrovnik. When we had questions about history and some difficult ones too, she answered so considerately and well. I highly recommend anyone visiting Dubrovnik to do this tour, and thanks to Ivona and all the best to you and your family. Hope to come back soon.

We booked a two hour private walking tour with Ivan Vukovic and asked specifically to see where Star Wars: The Last Jedi was filmed. Since the SW locations are very small, Ivan also guided us around the locations for Game of Thrones and a few other films.
He peppered each location with insider stories, personal details and jokes that really brought everything to life. He tailored the tour to our group size and the number of people in Dubrovnik on the day so that we did not spend lots of time trying to get around much larger groups and really maximised our time.
Compared to other offers we were given, the price was very fair. We really enjoyed our time with Ivan.
I highly recommend Ivan Vukovic for all your tour guide needs in Dubrovnik.

We had the lovely Ana Litre on a 3hr walking tour of city & walls. She was very knowledgeable, engaging and pitched her commentary perfectly to us - a group of 6 - teenagers & adults. Would highly recommend in order to appreciate this amazing city & its people.

We wanted a reasonably priced official tour. This ticked the box. Ivana was a lovely tour guide. We were a mixed group of children and adults and she included all in an engaging way. She asked the kids questions and made them feel included. She kept an eye on the group at all times to make sure no one was left behind. She brought the city to life with great explanations of the history. She also answered extra questions at the end like where to eat etc. would recommend highly

My wife and I will be coming into Dubrovnik, July 19th as part of our Royal Caribbean Cruise. My question is if the port of entry is close to the city. If we books this tour, would be simply take a taxi to the tour location? We made the mistake as novices last year in buying tickets for a bus tour in Florence, Italy not realizing the distance from the port in to the city location for the tour. We ended up losing money.

Hey Jim,
like others have said. Old Town is an approximately 15-minute ride from Port Gruž with a taxi/uber. Buses are also a good option as there is a bus heading to Old Town every 10 minutes. Depending on your ship some even anchor close to Old Town and disembark you directly at Old Town port.

Also, you can buy the ticket at the meeting point if you show up 10 minutes before the tour starts. We definitely recommend going with the cable car on the top of the hill Srđ; really beautiful views from up there. You can buy cable car tickets at the lower cable car station.

Thank you for your question. Yes, you should do the City Walls earlier because our scheduled Game of Thrones Tour does not include the City Walls walk. But, it does covers Lovrijenac fortress so you should save your City Walls ticket for free entrance to Lovrijenac.

Nuestro recorrido en español se realiza todos los días a las 10:30. La duración es de 1 hora. El precio es de 90 Kunas (aprox. 12 EUR) por persona para los adultos y los niños pueden unirse a la excursión de forma gratuita.
