I love the premise of Free Walking Tours. It is the true ‘pay as you feel’ or ‘busking’ of the tourism industry and surely the paradox of ‘you get what you pay for’.
With the deep industry analysis now completed, a short review to say that this is a superb walking tour and Marin is an assured guide. A great story teller, quick witted and engaging - the 100 minute tour flew by.
He managed the crowd very well, sympathetic to the sunshine through picking spots of shade and managed expectations on the timeline and distance between stops. On the day I attended, it attracted a really nice mix of people from different countries and age groups. Easy walking as well - dodged the steps!
Loved his personal Game of Thrones story. Had the crowd in the palm of his hand!
