Koločep Island: guided kayak, swim & snorkle day tour

Visiting Kolocep by kayak offers paddlers an intimate view of simple island life. Kayakers who venture to Koločep are rewarded with spectacular views of Dubrovnik, the open sea, and the Elafiti Islands. The tour begins with car transport from Dubrovnik to Zaton Bay. Koločep is an island stopped in time. The island has a population of roughly 150 and is without roads or cars. The island's dramatic cliffs rise abruptly from the sea, revealing wind carved caves. Visit the island’s two small settlements, hike its shady walking trails, and sample and purchase products grown and produced on the tiny island: homemade jams, dried herbs, rakija, candied fruits, and virgin olive at a family farm stand. Paddle to an unforgettable lunch at a charming seaside restaurant in one of the island’s 2 small settlements. Highlights include snorkeling in Blue Cave, swimming in a cove surrounded by towering cliffs, walking through pine forest and citrus groves, and feasting on the local catch of the day.

We had a terrific day out Kayaking from Zotan to Kolocep Island with Ivan. Our children are 11,14 and 16 and Ivan made sure everyone felt safe, had a bit of adventure (blue cave and rock jumping) and a memorable day out. He’s a very competent and knowledgeable guide who was great company as well. Many thanks for such a memorable day out.

We had the best time on this trip. To list a few of our highlights; we sea dolphins from our kayak, we cliff jumped 4&8metres, we swam in a cave, had a super tasty freshly caught lunch, learnt about the history and islands of Croatia. Massive thanks to our guide Ivan who made us feel safe at all times (despite our claustrophobia and fear of heights we managed the cave and the jumps!) he was so knowledgeable and friendly. Would highly recommend this tour, so reasonably priced and well organised. Loved loved loved.

I can only recommend to book with Ivan and Igor if you want to go kayaking in Dubrovnik. They were very nice and patient, thoroughly explained everything and took great care of us. They told us loads if interesting details of all the surrounding islands and places to visit in and near Dubrovnik. Thank you guys for looking after us, we’ve had a great time. Surely we will be back!

Our guide was amazing- so friendly and helpful- and showed us many beautiful things and places. It was very laid-back, we could go as fast or as slow as we wanted, and the instruction on kayaking was easy and helpful. The sites we went to for snorkeling, cliff-jumping, going in caves and even eating were wonderful and perfect. I couldn't recommend more highly!
