The West Harbour is an iconic location outside the walls of Dubrovnik. In addition to the imposing presence of Bokar Fort and the city walls, this place is the Kolorina beach, the ancient stone pier and the Grotta. All these places served as the setting for the Game of Thrones series. My hotel, even, was located right here and the movement of tourists, fans of the series, was always intense.

It was a rainy day and the harbor water was crashing on the rocks and shore. It made for some moody photos. The water was a rich blue and I managed to get my feet wet when a wave splashed onto shore. This is where several game of thrones scenes were filmed.

This little harbour is on the southern side of Pile Gate. There is a laneway where visitors can see the harbour and this is also one of the ways to get to Fort Lovrijenac. There are a couple of places to eat and some water activities can also be conducted here. A beautiful little harbour.

Game of Thrones fans paradise. The landscape is very beautiful and the harbor is between to great fortresses. Go early if you want pics without interference. I went at 7AM and only had to share the harbor with a few pigeons…

A small natural harbor located in the western part of the old town. You can get the best images of it if you climb Fort Lovrijenac. The area is very beautiful, the water is clear, you can swim. There is also a small terrace on the waterfront where you can drink something. You can also rent kayaks and make a trip around the old town.

Wow wow and just plain wow. After watching Game of Thrones, this was one of the places I most wanted to see when we visited Dubrovnik and it didn't disappoint.
Luckily when we were there in February, there wasn't many people around so we could get photos on the pier by ourselves which was excellent.
The scenery and surroundings were amazing with the beautiful Adriatic blue water and the amazing fortress and wall as a backdrop.
Amazing.

We saw it twice, once in the morning, and once at sunset, definitely better at sunset. The place also had some shots of Game of Thrones filmed there!

If you fancy a nice stroll around the city walls you should visit the West Harbor side, the place where some scenes from Game of Thrones were shot. Also you can rent kayaks from here and if you want you can climb up to Lovrjenac medieval fortress where you also have great views over the harbor. Relaxing walk and really nice views!

Searching for a little shady spot and a place to sit and picnic while exploring Old Town Dubrovnik we stumbled upon this treasure of a Harbour. Lots of good people watching as it is a constant flow.
