About
Korkyra travel agency was founded in 2006, with its head office in Dubrovnik, branch offices in Dubrovnik Sun Gardens and Dubrovnik Airport and a sister-agency in Korčula town. Our mission is to provide clients with a complete experience of Dubrovnik and its surroundings, to assist in creating a vacation that will stay in a long-lasting memory. We base our approach to business on values such as professionalism, courtesy, confidence and appreciation of the needs and preferences of our partners and customers. Wide range of our services include accommodation, transfers, excursions and activities, as well as car, scooter and boat rental, which makes us "one stop place" when it comes to planning the holiday in Dubrovnik. As a young and perspective agency, our vision is to exceed expectations of our valued clients, by constantly enriching our offer and providing the high-quality service and operational excellence in every aspect of our business. By gaining new business opportunities, our whole team keeps finding itself in everyday situations that push us forward, and we are trying to remain on that route, and to continue developing our company and business.

We (2 people) had booked a private transfer from Dubrovnik airport to Korcula for Euro 180. While that seems a lot, it saved us having to sit around the airport for several hours before the shared bus departed, and also gave us the opportunity to stop in Ston for some sightseeing and lunch, as well as enjoy some wine-tasting along the way.
Milan, our driver, was punctual and stuck exactly to the agreed itinerary. He did not have much English so we weren’t able to chat to him but otherwise everything worked like clockwork. Ston is definitely worth a stop. The girl in charge of wine-tasting at the Maderazza winery was extremely knowledgeable and generous in relation to the number of wines we were allowed to taste… and re-taste... We thus discovered our favourite Croatian holiday wine – a light white called Posip.
The car was lovely, spacious and clean and the a/c worked well. Would thoroughly recommend the company.

We had a spare day in Dubrovnik, so we decided to take day-trip to Montenegro, as I’d seen gorgeous photos of Kotor online a few weeks before our trip. At 7:15 am, we were picked up in front of a Hilton hotel outside Old Town and shared a van with our tour guide and four other people. Montenegro is not part of the EU, so we had to hand over our passports to the border agent. I was grateful that we weren’t visiting in the summer, as sometimes the wait can take hours. After just a few minutes, we continued on our way to the Verige Strait, where we caught a ferry across the Bay of Kotor. We got off at Budva, our first town in Montenegro. Much of the Budva Riviera feels like a resort sprawl catering to wealthy Russians, but Old Town Budva had some charm. When we were done with Budva, we drove the rest of the way to Kotor, the whole reason I wanted to come to Montenegro. With dramatic cliffs, the glimmering Adriatic, and a UNESCO-protected Old Town, Kotor is easily one of the most stunning places I’ve ever visited. Our guide gave us a few hours in Kotor, enough time to hike the Town Walls and eat lunch.

NO RECOMMENDATION FOR THE TRANSFER!!
I would NEVER book a transfer with Korkyra again!! Me and my husband booked a private transfer from the airport Dubrovnik to Korcula for 210 Euro. Unfortunately the flight was overbooked and we could not board the plane. We immediately informed korkyra about the situation. That was 1,5 hours before our plane would have arrived at Dubrovnik. Korkyra planned and confirmed a few days before that their driver would wait for us 5 minutes before the plane landed. After several mails Korkyra charged nonetheless 170 Euro from us because they claimed and still claim that their driver was already at the airport (1,5 hours ealier!!) because he depends on the ferry. I don't think that is true because that would really not be a very clever way to run a business. Besides when they picked us up the next day they used TWO drivers!! One who brought us to the ferry and one who picked us up on the other side and broght us to the hotel which just makes sense. So depending on the ferry and be at the airprt because of it 1,5 hours earlier than agreed is such a poor excuse and serves just as an alibi for a rip-off. We only paid their brazen and audacious charge because we were worried that they would not pick us up the next day because they were very not accommodating in their behaviour toward us. And after even texting with the manager I am pretty sure they would have not picked us up the next day in we hadn't confirmed/agreed that we would pay their charge.
So as a recommendation don't use Korkyra for transfer!! Or at least clarify very clearly beforehand what happens when you have to cancel the transfer short.
For the way back we used another way to get to the airport!
We presented the case now to the ECC Net (European Consumer Centres Net).

We booked through our rep at the hotel for the 'Republic of Dubrovnik' tour at the end of September.
It was an incredibly early start, but from the moment we met her Nicoletta was lovely, up beat and organised.
We had a short boat trip to a couple of other hotel docks then onto a bus for the long ride from Korcula to Dubrovnik. The bus was clean, in good condition with air-con and a skilled driver to navigate the roads.
We stopped in Ston for a quick break and were again told of the history of the town, the salt lakes and the wall, then we tripped on to Dubrovnik.
Nicoletta has endless knowledge of Korcula, the peninsula and Dubrovnik and her fondness for her home country was clear as she spoke.
we had three-ish hours in Dubrovnik and for us that was enough with the heat and road tripping included.

On the way back home we stopped at a winery for a tasting session - again this was really well organised. The staff there were expecting to see us and happy to receive us. We sampled three of their wines and a desert wine, learning their flavour notes and processes as we went and then we were given the opportunity to have a look around and buy if we wanted. I was genuinely surprised and pleased that the wines they had sampled us with were affordable to the masses, the white coming in around £8 - £10. Needless to say we bought some!
I'd definitely use these guys again should we find ourselves in Korcula in the future.

The staff were very helpful, they booked 2 amazing half day boat trips, a city guide who was so friendly and knowledgeable and a long transfer to Trogir. Everything they helped us with was superb. Great company

We rented two mountain bikes one day. We punctuated our bike during the rental. They came and replaced it in 30min, 20km away

Ths company pretty much ruined my vacation in Croatia. It was so bad that I wanted to fly back home from Dubrovnik to the USA. Korkyra Travel LIED to us by stating that we had a 1900 bus shuttle reservation. I contacted Korkyra to schedule a shuttle bus (operated by some AWFUL company called Platanus) from Dubrovnik airport to Korcula. It was a PAINFUL process to get any sort of answers from these people, it was AWFUL!! I exchanged SEVERAL emails and finally, I was able to get what I thought was a bus reservation for 1900 on 22/08/2019. We CUT our Dubrovnik sightseeing short to make sure we were at the airport BEFORE 1900 to get on the bus and head to Korcula. We had an early morning excursion in Korcula. However, the bus driver had the nerve to tell me that "unfortunately" we were going to have to wait at the airport for another THREE HOURS to wait for other passengers who were late and that we were not going to get into Korcula until PAST 1 am or even later!!! I cried in horror as that meant completely ruining our current day and the next day as I had already arranged to meet our Aibnb host at 10 pm (the place was very hard to get to and required for the host to meet us in person) and needed to desperately get some rest to be ready to get up at 6 am for our excursion. So we debated for hours on what to do as we were short on cash and ended up being robbed of 190 euros to take a taxi to get out Dubrovnik and head into Korcula. It was a complete and unnecessary waste of TIME and MONEY. Korkyra Travel LIED to us by stating that we had a 1900 bus shuttle reservation. They NEVER mentioned that there could be delays due to having to WAIT FOR SEVERAL HOURS for other people that were late. This is completely unacceptable given how much effort people take into planning a vacation and how much TIME AND MONEY is precious when you travel. This is a HORRENDOUS company and EVERONE should be aware of their TERRIBLE AND UNFAIR PRACTICES against travelers and. ALL TRAVELERS should stay away and book with another company OR PAY A PRIVATE TRANSFER!!!
