My husband and I went to Croatia and booked a private tour with her for one day. She picked us up from our hotel in Dubrovnik and took us personally to all the places we chose and more. She is a very good guide driver, knowledgeable, she has a good sense of humor. She is very pleasant and thoughtful we had a fun time with her and we felt that we knew her for a long time.
We chose three places (Pocitelj, Mostar and Ston), and on the way we passed close to Medjugorje and I asked her if we had time to go there, since it was not part of the itinerary, and she told me, if it was important to me she gladly took us and not pushing for time. We learned a lot about Croatia and surroundings. If I go back for sure I will contact her again.
Now we have a friend =) in Croatia.

I contacted Julija after seeing all the raving reviews here - turned out she was not available for the day I requested but she managed to arrange for Niksa to be our host to Mostar instead.

On the day itself Niksa turned out to be a most professional and approachable host. He made both of us feel instantly at ease and made every effort to make sure we are as comfortable as possible throughout the trip.

I got a little car sick as we drove through the mountain roads and he quickly picked up on that and stopped the car at the soonest opportunity so I could catch some fresh air.

Given this was a private tour we have the luxury of stopping whenever we needed - such as toilet visits.

We spent over 3 hours in Mostar as it was so beautiful while Julija also arranged for a local guide to take us through the old town and gave us a little talk on the extensive history of Bosnia and Herzegovina / Mostar. The restaurant he recommended for lunch served one of the best grilled meat I’ve ever had and the view overlooking the Mostar bridge was the cherry on the cake.

All in all it was as good of a day trip as it could possibly get - we never felt rushed at any point and Niksa made us both feel so welcomed and able to take our time to enjoy the trip.

We were looking for private tour guide for our 5 days stay in Dubrovnik without success. We happened to bump into her while she was giving private tour in Dubrovnik old town. My wife over heard her and she looks so genuine and very knowledgeable. We excused them and got Julia's contact info and signed 2 hrs walking tour of Dubrovnik thru WhatsApp for the following day. She was so kind and knowledgeable and doesn't mind to shares her first handed painful history which was very rare to hear. She didn't rush the tour even far after the allocated time eager to give us more information. We really enjoyed her tour and tried to book folklore performance day tour in Cilipi for the following day. She was booked already for following day but she gave us all information for folklore performance and other cities we can visit by ourselves since we had our own car. We travel around the world very often and had many private tours. She is one of the best, sincere and caring tour guide we had.

Our trip through Croatia, Bosnia-Herzovegina, and Montenegro was fantastic! We were a group of 8 and Julija worked with us to create an itinerary that we all loved. She had great recommendations for places and activities that only a local would know. She and Nikša were kind, professional, knowledgeable and they accommodated even our last minute requests. I highly recommend!!

Tripadvisor's rating system may limit me to 1-5 scale but the possibilities with this guide are limitless!

On our last day in Dubrovnik we wanted to pass the time, before our flight, by having a custom made trip to the local Arboretum and then car service to the Dubrovnik airport. I can honestly say that our guide was one of the nicest people I've ever met. She was flexible, knowledgeable, kind, a great conversationalist and kept a very clean vehicle. Julija showed our family around the Aurboretum and also gave us the time to explore on our own if we wanted. She did everything she could to give us the best experience we would want.

If you should take only one tour or 100 tours while in Dubrovnik, have Julija Antunovic from Dubrovnik driving guide be your one and only point of contact for getting to where you need to be and want to go. She can personally take you to anywhere in the Dubrovnik area and surrounding countries. Forget those outings with preset and rigid timelines, you can have a custom made excursion with her as your guide. You will also get exceptionally personalized service that I highly doubt anyone would be able to surpass. Be it a quick 1 hour outing, drive to the airport or an all day excursion she is able to help you get the most out of your possible time while out and about.

If I could rate this experience 1000000000 out of 5 stars, I would. I have traveled a lot in my life, which means I’ve taken my fair share of tours, and NONE even come close to the experience that Julija and Niksa put on for us. From the start, Julija was the most responsive person and helpful in her email communications leading up to our trip. She was patient in her explanations, extremely prompt, and ensured everything was tailored exactly to what we wanted. She planned very detailed and thrilling day trips to Montenegro, the Albanian Alps, and Bosnia for us with an end stop in Split, Croatia. She was so thoughtful and packed us a great deal of snacks and waters for our journey. If that isn’t enough to convince you that’s she’s the best, her knowledge is never ending of the regions, her charm and charisma captivating, and her positive energy contagious. I truly felt like that by the end of the trip, Julija and Niksa were not just our guide and driver, but our close friends. We miss them dearly and cannot wait to return one day soon for more adventures with them. So if you’re looking for THE best guided experience in the region, look no further as the best is right here.

Julija is a fantastic human AND guide, she tailored our 3 hour trip for us with all the things for the entire family, a panoramic trip the best ice cream for the littles, some game of thrones stops for the dad and a wine tasting bar recommendation for the mom. We wish we had booked her longer, she was knowledgeable, fun, and even kept the kids entertained so we could continue to learn. An additional perk I didn't even think about was how easy it was getting some travel pictures with all four of us because Julija was so helpful.

Julija was our fabulous guide on a day trip from Dubrovnik to Medjugorje.
I can not recommend her enough! I was concerned about doing such an arduous day trip, but Julija put all my worries to rest when she arrived promptly at our hotel at 7:30a with a bright smile, sincere personality and a super clean vehicle. The 2 1/2 hr drive along the Adriatic to Medjugorje flew by and was absolutely beautiful. She is so knowledgeable about the area, the complex history and the people in this region. We learned so much.
Julija tailored the trip to what we wanted and had us arrive in time to attend the 10a English mass at St James Church (which not all tours can guarantee)We had ample time to climb Apparition Hill and shop. Julija made sure we had cold waters for the climb. She also took us to a local restaurant for lunch that was excellent and able to accommodate my son who is gluten free. We had the flexibility of stopping in Mostar, but ultimately decided to return to our hotel.
Meeting and touring with Julija was a highlight of our trip and next time we visit Dubrovnik we will absolutely use her again.

We hired Julija for our holiday to Croatia back in May/June 2019. We were given Julija's contact details by a friend of my wife's father, who had previously booked Julija and had said how amazing she was.

Julija is an incredible tour guide, an amazing person, welcoming, and very easy to talk to. Her knowledge of the English language is extensive, and we never had a problem communicating with her. We even asked Julija to teach us some basic Croatian, including the correct pronunciation of words, which we all had lots of fun with. My wife picked it up better than me though!

We were lucky enough to spend two full days with Julija, firstly a personal tour around the Old Town in Dubrovnik and then Cavtat later that day, then a full day in Montenegro a few days later. On both days, Julija dropped us off at the most beautiful, scenic places, where we could get some lunch, a drink, and explore the local area, before she came back to pick us up to continue the tours. Julija always made sure we knew where she would be waiting for us, and at what time. These two days with Julija, were two of the best days of our 10 day holiday, and by the end of it, we wished we had booked more time with her.

Julija's knowledge is incredible. Everything she told us about, including historical facts, were done in the most amazing and interesting way. I'm certain that without Julija's knowledge, there would have been so many things that we would've missed, or not seen.

The vehicle Julija drove us in, was always clean and tidy, and refreshments were always provided. Julija is an excellent driver, and we always felt safe with her.

We got the impression that Julija really does like to get to know her clients, and goes out of her way to make sure her clients needs are met in the most professional manner.

We both felt so at ease with Julija, that we spoke to her about everything going in our lives, even private stuff, and we had many, amazing, personal conversations with her. We really got a sense that we could say anything to Julija, and we wouldn't be judged, nor would anything be mentioned to anyone else.

Whilst we may have only spent two days with Julija, we both feel like we've made a friend for life, and even almost a year later, we're still in regular contact with Julija. I think that shows the kind of person she is, where even after your time with her has finished, she still cares and thinks about the experiences she shares with her clients. We were both genuinely sad when we said goodbye to Julija at the end of our final day with her, that's how much of a positive impression she made on us.

For anyone visiting Croatia, who might be looking for day trips with a tour guide, look no further than Julija. We really don't think you'll find a better, more informative, friendly guide.

We will definitely be hiring Julija's services when we return to Croatia in the future.

Hvala najljepša Julija :)

My husband and I traveled to Croatia with my sister and brother in law in June and Julija absolutely made our trip! She was smart, SO knowledgeable, a very safe driver and had a great sense of humor. We were obviously in a great mood due to all of the fantastic food and wine!

We went with her suggested itinerary (see below) and very happy that we did!

10:00 departure from Dubrovnik
11:00 approx. arrival to Ston, 1 hour time for exploring the little town
12:10 approx.meeting with a local fisherman in Mali Ston, boat ride, oysters part
13:00 approx. departure from Mali Ston
13:10 approx. arrival to the first winery
14:00 approx. departure from the first winery
14:45 approx. arrival to the second winery
16:15 approx. departure from the second winery (this is if you decide to have a snack there, it would last less if you are not interested in eating and it would last bit more if you decide to have a proper meal there)
16:20 approx. arrival to the third winery
17:00 approx. departure from the third winery
18:30 approx. arrival to Dubrovnik

We have all talked about going back and hope she would be able to take us around again. It felt very much that we were touring the country with a friend and NOT a tour guide looking for our money.

We started the day in Mali Ston with a local fisherman on a tiny little boat who took us out to try fresh oysters and mussels. The fisherman was an absolute character and really set the tone for such a fun day. The fresh shellfish was delicious!

The wineries she took us to were fantastic. She even arranged a homemade lunch at one of the wineries and wow! The owner's mother had spent 2 days slow braising wild boar and hand-making gnocchi for us. It was absolute fantastic!

At the end of our trip, we went back to Mali Ston and went to a local wine bar with Julija and were able to ask her even more about the history and culture of Croatia and really just to have some great company and conversation.

I could not recommend this tour enough!
