- SnowyShastaPortland, Oregon2,314 contributionsSmaller but cute version of the fountainThis little fountain is at the opposite end of the Stradun from the larger version near the Pile Gate. This one is small and looks much different and less imposing. There was a little water when we visited, which is safe to drink, and several birds appeared to be enjoying it. This isn't necessarily a must see, but it's a lot quieter location than the larger fountain, and we enjoyed stepping out of the crowds for a couple minutes to see it.Visited May 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten September 22, 2023
- dese2Auburn, New York3,463 contributionsAlso to see in old townThis fountain is also part of the aqueduct system meant to supply water to the market. It is easy to see as you approach the end of the Stradun at Luza Square. Again, the water is supposed to be safe to drink. This fountain has less damage than the bigger one and is pretty with dolphins on top.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 27, 2023
- CatharineBOttawa, Canada1,641 contributionsElegant FountainThe small Onofrio fountain is the work of the same architect who made the large fountain located in front of the Franciscan convent. Dating from 1438 it stands alongside the Guard House. Unlike its name sake at the other end of the Stradun which was created to supply water to the city with numerous spouts, this elegant fountain is a small polygonal basin embellished with decoration of cherubs and frolicking dolphins. It was built to provide water to the outdoor market held regularly in the square. As you can see from the pictures, it is a favourite watering hole for pigeons.Visited May 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 5, 2023

It was a nice little fountain however was dry and not producing water when we visited in early March 2023. It is located down by St Blaise church / Luza square. Designed by Onophrio, it is the smaller of the two such named fountains. Would've been nice to see it issuing water.

The Old City of Dubrovnik is beautiful and has many amazing architectural masterpieces. I came across this beautiful fountain not knowing that it’s one of Onofrio’s designed fountain. I just realized later on upon browsing through my photo gallery.

Built between 1440 to 1442 and situated near the he Rector's Palace.
The Small Onofrio's Fountain had quite a different purpose than it's bigger Brother.
It was used to supply the market which once stood on Luža square.

This is a small fountain by St.Blaise’s Church and the Clock Tower. It is turned off from time to time, but it is still a nice looking fountain.

If you are ever in Dubrovnik Old Town, you have to stop by the Onofrio fountain. Being close to the Rectors palace, beware of the crowds

Everyone comes to Luza Square as it is at one end of the main street. This small fountain is a lovely feature of the Square and you will definitely notice it. Lots of tourists around.

This fountain is located at the harbour end of the Stadun, near the Guard Tower and Luza Square. The water is drinkable from the fountain.

An old fountain, quite beautiful. The water is off. Nothing special, you don't need to stop, you can take a picture of him on the go.
