I really can't express enough how fantastic our experience with Given2Fly was.
Our guide, Hrvoje, arrived exactly when promised (7:30am). The first example of the superb customer service came when the booking agent who arranged our trip, got our shoe sizes wrong, so Hrvoje arrived with climbing shoes that didn't fit us. He instantly called up Mariana (his boss) and arranged for her to bring us shoes that fit. In the mean time he took us to a beautiful sea front cafe, and paid for our coffee and orange juice while we waited. Mariana arrived and explained that their shop didn't have enough pairs of shoes to fit our abnormally large feet. So she suggested that we went and climbed some of the easier cliffs barefoot, while she went and bought us brand new ones!
At this point we were running late, and we had a ferry to catch at 12, which could have proved problematic. So Mariana called up the ferry company and arranged for our ticket to be moved to a later time so we could enjoy a full day of climbing and cliff jumping.
So off we went, and the climbing was fantastic. Incredible scenery, crystal clear blue water and beautiful sunshine. Hrvoje was a class act, knowledgable and really fun too. His guidance helped us climb almost everything in front of us. Mariana then managed to find us, dropped brand our new shoes to us from of the cliff. Then went to the tough stuff. A few grazed knees and elbows, and the four of us were having a great time.
We finished the outing with a brilliant 15 metre cliff jump which Hrvoje filmed from his Gopro for us.
We got out and showered, and we assumed we would be parting with our guide; however, Hvorje offered to take us to lunch in his car. He suggested Mariana's own restaurant, as we were interested in trying some Croatian cuisine. Of course he called ahead and Mariana personally greeted us with a reserved table at a beautiful local restaurant (Restoram Re Di Mare), located on the edge of what must be one of the most picturesque marinas in Croatia. The food was absolutely delicious, and we were stunned by how reasonably priced the whole meal was. We exchanged Facebook details and emails so we could share all the footage and photos we took. Hrvoje was kind enough to give us a lift all the way back to our hostel.
Out day out with Given2Fly was simply superb. I cannot recommend it enough. Awesome!
