What an amazing opportunity to help with an archaeological excavation AND see the sights with an incredible guide! Robert really made us feel at home and we were able to learn about Croatia from a native who cares deeply about his country. Also, he seems to know EVERYONE! The dig was hard work, but very rewarding. It was a wonderful experience.

I had the pleasure of booking a 2-week holiday with Ventula. Robert is VERY knowledgeable of Croatian and Roman history in the region. He is an excellent tour guide himself, but also arranged an array of excellent tour guides who were local experts. We had 2 tours of Split, a tour of Trogir, a tour of the Klis fortress with demonstrations of weapons, a tour of Tilurium and Sinj, complete with a tradition lunch. Robert really cares about his guests and was easily able to use his network to adjust plans based on the weather or if we were tired. I highly recommend Ventula and will be using them again in the future.

Robert and the staff at Ventula Travel went out for their way to ensure our visit was the absolute best possible experience it could be. I came for the archaeology experience at Solin, which was life changing in itself. On top of that Ventula organised tours and experiences that were extremely well organised and engaging. And it was all part of the package!
Couldn’t speak more highly of the experience, can’t wait to come again next year.

This was my first archeological dig. Archeological team consisted of 5-7 tourists, students from Zagreb university and was supervised by dr. Dino Demicheli. Dino is a great person and has extensive knowledge of history and archeology that he is willing to share. Dino supervised excavations with detail explanations of how work should be done and why.
Every day of the trip is planned by Robert to the last detail. After day at excavations, we were visiting different historic sites and Robert was giving us detail information about their ancient and current history. Robert takes individual care of each person in the group catering to every need and desire.
I went on many European trips but nothing even close to what Robert was able to provide.
I cannot wait to book another trip with Ventula.

Robert and his team designed a wonderful driving tour from Trieste, through Slovenia, to Croatia. The destinations were fascinating and interesting, and the travel arrangements flawless. Robert is a true professional and I have no hesitation in recommending him as a first class, knowledgeable travel agent.

The fresh oysters, mussels and wine on the water was a highlight. But the entire trip was amazing from the knowledgeable guide Matilda, to meeting the local winemaker and drinking local wine. Learning about the salt and hiking the wall. A wonderful way to see beautiful country.

From Boris the agent to Alan the van driver, and including Ivana and Vlatka the guides and Boško and Luca the boat crew, everyone was professional, friendly, fun, and solicitous to our interests and desires. Everything went like clockwork, from pickups to tours to meals. We had an amazing time exploring Zadar and the surroundings, and would definitely use Ventula travel again.

Croatia is truly a diverse and dynamic destination, rich in history, culture, and a great dining scene.
I would not hesitate to visit Croatia again as there are many more options to explore.
The islands of Croatia are an excellent option and they offer such remarkable experiences.
The people of Croatia are full of warmth and hospitality as well and were the stars of the destination.
I would not hesitate to recommend Ventula Travel. This great boutique travel agency was very attentive and delivered personalized service from start to finish. They helped to connect us with the heart of Croatia and we were fully immersed in authentic experiences, which we thoroughly enjoyed absorbing.
I would not hesitate to visit Croatia again as there are many more options to explore.

My wife and I went on a tour of in Split with Robi of Ventula tours and we have to say it was as good as it gets,Robis knowledge of the history of Croatia is to say the least incredible and he has a passion for the life and times of Croatia,he is a walking college of knowledge .We did the tour of Salome and the Fortress looked at his olive oil factory and finished of with one of the best lunches you will ever have at Antons Mill,fresh trout could out of Markos stream 10 minutes before it was cooked,home made bread made from flour wich is milled on site in his own water mill,this old water powered mill has been in his family for 600 years and vegetables out of his own garden,Antos mill is a little garden of eden within the city and if you are in Split if you only do 1 thing get Robi to take you to Antons Mill,his.We are returning in July next year and will do some of his other gourmet tours and do Antons Mill again.I don't normally write reviews but in this case I felt I had such was the quality of Robis organization.It has been the high light of our European Tour so far.Adrian and Barbara,Katanning Western Australia,Australia

Can you arrange a private seven day comprehensive Croatia tour for a small party, including hotels, guides and trasportation?
