A very beautiful waterfront at the centre of Split. We visited this place a few times and found it very interesting but crowded in the evening. Full of nice restaurants, souvenir shops and coffee shops. A nice sunny morning with a cuppa coffee at this waterfront was worth experience. Take some memorable pictures at this beautiful place.

This place is a mix of two different ideas... On the inside of the riva toward the shops, it is more hustle and bustle, music, people laughing and enjoying the social aspect of the riva. In front is the harbour, the people are having coffee and looking our over the water contemplating.... Well... Who knows!

When you walk at time of the sunset, I think is very nice place, expecially in winter sunny days and there are few people around. Not very good during the Christmas period for me, because there are a lot of people concentrated in this place, full of bar and small wood houses to sell for the most( unfortunately) ....drinks ,... Zadar has a better promenade. And a view of the sunset as well. Split is beautiful because of its old town.

Take a walk along the harbour when the sun starts to set. There will be many many tourists along the pier as they have restaurants and bars along the way, but you should be able to find a place to sit for a drink or a coffee or maybe an icecream?

Once you have visited Old Split then the Riva Harbor area is certainly worth a walk around. The promenades are filled with boats all shapes and sizes with a selection of places to stop off if you want to relax and enjoy the views.

The Split Waterfront "Riva" is a must when you visit Split. My family and I were there when there was a Xmas fair. Very relaxed place where you can enjoy drinks and beautiful scenery.

It's a good place for promenades. After you finish the walk and checking the boats and yachts you can stop for a coffee in one of the numerous and welcoming cafes.

The Riva, as it is called, is a large open space next to the old harbour . There is a long esplanade next to the water and locals and tourists alike stroll along this pleasant pavement, great for people watching. Lawned green spaces separate the promenade from the long row of cafes and restaurants which are always crowded.
