A strenuous uphill walk with stairs and pathways to the top. It's a really great walk and the view from the top is amazing and worth the effort.

I would definitely recommend any visitors to Split to visit Marjan. We spent a day exploring and walking through the park. Beautiful swimming spots and lots of beautiful little churches.

We went to Sveti Jere. There wasn't almost anybody else. This wasn't at the top of the hill but the view was nice. If you drive here it costs something, but by foot or bike its free.

Really enjoyed walking in Marjan, such a contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city. Great views of Split and surrounding area.

Took the train from just outside the port after getting off the cruise ship. €10 each this little train took us to the top of the hill which goes through a wooded area. At the top is a big cross and the Croatian flag. Really...More

It's a bit of a climb but well worth it. We went down other side and spent a lovely afternoon in joes beach.

Do yourself a favour and climb to the top of the stairs where the Croatian flag is flying. Great all round views of Split. Don't forget to take water though as it gets very hot!

Personally I think you should walk up the hill. A bike is not suitable as it goes up and up and up. Look at Google under marjan. For best views and incredible sunset go all the way up......

There isn't a bus or train service to the top. You have to be prepared to climb many steps from the end of the Riva. Takes about 40-50 minutes.. totally worth it. Uber is an option though.
