Great walk and nice views from top

Great walk and nice views from top. Start early in the morning before it gets too hot. Dress in your walking shoes and carry water although there are a couple or cafes on the way.

Everytime I visit Split, Marjan is a must see. Only suggestion, visit in the morning or on less hot days. Otherwise it will be very difficult to climb up there and really enjoy the beautiful view.

If you love walking in a quiet park/nature this is a great place. There is nothing spectacular, but it is peaceful with some great views. If you walk all the way around it is quite a distance, so be warned if you are taking kids along. I would however go run there every day if I could

Marjan is considered by locals who live here to be the "lungs of Split"--and for good reason, its deep green forested hills (they were completely bare a century ago when locals cut them down for firewood!) are perfect for hiking and much of the area is car free or with very few cars so great for biking too (you can... A very beautiful place easily approachable by walking from the Split centre. It's bit of walk but totally worth it. We did it on both days while we were in Split, got up early and went walking to Marjan. It's beautiful place, very peaceful in the morning and not crowded. Though some serious people were running and cycling to Marjan,... More

We were taken from the cruise terminus up into the park to the top of Marjan hill in a "train" pulled by a tractor. We thought this would be ideal as we have mobility issues. The views going through the park and at the top were breathtaking as was the journey down which took a different route. The "train" stopped... More

A wonderful view of Split. A city with history, culture and interest. A great walk to the Marjan, water on the way. Then retreated for a drink at the cafe.

Since I am a nature lover, this place is heaven. There is a Wonderful setup of trails, from old stone, to grass, to rock and even dirt throughout. Along the trails there is an old church, a restaurant, multiple lookouts, and even houses. It gives you a amazing view of split, Trogir, the islands, and everything in between. I rated... More
