If I had my own bar, it'd be pretty much exactly like this

This is right in the middle of chaotically busy old town- but it is quiet and pleasant place for a drink. Tiny courtyard. A bit pretentious with bill presented in a book but a lot nicer than other bars in Split and reasonable prices for...More

Only had a brief time in split and this was one place we really wanted to try. It did not disappoint. Cosy bar with real character and a large selection of drinks.

Great bar, a real hidden gem. Some great beers, not expensive, and good music. But what I really love were the little touches to this place. The menu is the best menu I have ever seen, written by an actual writer with little stories, quotes...More

The bar is not a public park and people must order something. But in this case, when there is a show -we also pay for the musicians and extra waiters- the only thing we request is to get into the "concert area" with a drink...More

My girlfriend and I visited on what was a night of andean folk music. We were met with an extremely warm welcome and everybody was so friendly. Though small (cosy is a better word), it had a wonderful atmosphere and everybody felt included in the...More

What can I say.... one has to taste it to savor it and then it becomes your own !! Has the poet who owns the restaurant/ the wine rubbed off on me? The Menu - a booklet was so interesting with verses and snippets and...More

A true treasure. From the atmosphere, the building itself to the staff. I could not fault a single thing. The story of the restoration project is eloquently and succinctly written in the foreword of the drinks, cigar and book menu. A cleverly put togeter little...More

Great place to have a drink and listen to music. The place is setup like a library - people are actually reading books off the shelves. The proprietor, Tin, is a nice guy. Very fun respite from the busy streets of Split.

Such a pleasant atmosphere here - friendly staff and lovely ambience. Great to hear jazz standards and a few early Beatles tracks 😎 The cocktail menu is interesting as well as the extensive literature available. Didn’t get chance to catch a live music night but...More

Fancy packaging for a very average bar, drinkwise. The menu is hard to read. For instance Red Bull is under «Austria» and this energy drink has its own paragraph. Brings back the meaning of the word pretentious. The check arrives inside a book, which is...More

We give the ticket inside a book because this is the House and Birthplace of the Father of Croatian Literature.
