You can feel history if you are walking in the old town area of Split. You can see ruins from Roman ages, and part of the once city wall around the Narodni trg. The square is full of nice restaurants and pubs. Best for breakfast.

Our AirBnB was located right on this square so we got to enjoy this view everyday. A word of warning about staying in the old town, it is a pedestrian only precinct so will have to carry/wheel your own luggage unless you have a hotel...More
