Check out during night is there something happening there because it is cool place to be if it is crowded. There are some bars in the ally next to it that are working late.

Narodni Trg (pjaca to Croatians, piazza to Italians ans square to English speakers) is next to Diocletian's Palace (western gates, also called the Iron Gate) and the old clock tower is a distinct feature here. The Town Hall is nearby, too. It houses exhibits these days. This square dates to the 14th century. It was, and is, the center for... More

A magnificent 15th century square, breathing the Venetian era of Split, and giving insights in the architectural highlights of its time. Plenty of food and drinks available, ideal for a relaxing break in a historic context. Just like the city clock on the adjacent tower, this locality is unfairly underrated!

The Venetian Renaissance square of Narodni Trg is insufficiently highly rated on this site. After Diocletian's Palace, it is the logical next place to go, being a stone's throw away from the Palace. The town clock is attractive, and the square is beautifully proportioned, and airy, after Diocletian's Palace, with some decent places to eat and drink. Right at the... More

This square has been the business and administrative centre of Split for several hundred years and the fine architecture of the houses surrounding it bear witness to the prosperity of their owners. In addition there is a lovely Renaissance Town Hall and a variety of cafes and bars in which to relax away from the busy throng crowding the main... More

Besides the Peristyle this is the second center of the city with plenty of restaurants and shops and the 15th-century town hall.

This square is full of life and energy!! Our hotel was in the midst of this and the Diocletian palace is just a few yards away. Enjoy the many restaurants, outdoor venues or stop for a quick refreshment.

I think that this may be the largest square on old Split. It is located immediately to the East of Diocletian's Palace which is a World Heritage Site. It is full of restaurants and other food outlets where one can have a meal or just sit drinking a coffee watching the world pass by. There is a very impressive old... More

This is a lovely area through which to walk and appreciate the variety of architectural design through the centuries during which Diocletian's Palace was built, modified, and changed again. There are a number of fun restaurants, relaxing cafes, a fun bar, and lots of great people watching!

This is a classic European square. Lots of outdoor restaurants. Lots of people milling around. Just a fun place to hang out and enjoy to culture.
