Fish market is definitely in your to do list, if you’re visiting Split.
Not the biggest market i ever seen but still you’re able to buy a lot of exotic seafood , for low price. Personally recommend calamari and prawns.
The Fish Market is located in the city center, close to the port. Everyone can find it easily due to the fish odor. Everything is fresh, if you visit around noon, before the closing, then the prices are cheaper.

Dont be a tourist. Cook while you are in split. Great fish and amazing prices. Caught the tail end. Got 6 crawfish for 5 kn a peice. Delicious that night. Should have bought more. Go early as the best is in the morning.
We visited the market as part of a walking tour and what an incredible place - full of freshly caught fish and seafood sold by locals. If seafood is your thing then you have to stop by and pick up the freshest seafood available.
