I thought that a walking tour will be better to help me understand the Diocletian Palace and booked a tour with this company since it has great reviews and was highly rated on Tripadvisor. Many a times, a tour guide can make or break the tour, and this was a tour that I will not recommend.
The tour guide failed to engage the group and was also absentminded. There were a lot of stories and places that she forgot to explain until someone asked a question. The meeting point was at the Golden Gate and we were standing under the Statue of Gregory (he's 8 meters tall!) and she didn't mention a word about him until someone asked. This was also seen in many cases when we were standing in front of beautiful buildings or magnificent statues. Sometimes she end off sentences with 'You-know' and 'whatever' when she couldn't find the words for them (if I have known, I wouldn't have join the tour in the first place!)
Yes, I indeed learn more details about the Diocletian Palace but the tour frustrates me many times. The tour guide's accent and pronunciation made many explanations difficult to hear or understand. The positive is that you really get to see a lot of places that you may have otherwise miss without a guide.
I am writing this review not to lambast the agency or the tour guide, but hopefully to provide constructive suggestions for improvements.
Will I recommend this tour to others? Probably yes if you are with another tour guide. I think it will be better if you shown up without booking the tour, see if the tour guide is one of the more recognized or frequently mentioned ones on tripadvisor, then proceed to join the tour. If not, don't waste your time.
