    Fans will love it
First of all the lady that was working at the entrance on the 31st July was the perfect example of how to provide fantastic customer service. She was really helpful and engaging with our 15 and 11 year old girls. The guide inside was friendly and helpful too. 5 stars for the service provided by both ladies. There's plenty of pictures showing the locations used with and without the filming crew which can influence you to check the local areas they used out. Very informative. We also liked the music used from the show. That was a clever move and well thought out. They have great replicas of the props used, models of the places in Westeros, costumes, characters from the show and there are certain areas for photo opportunities too. Kids not aware or interested in the show will still find themselves curiously browsing through replica items used for the show so it may be a great way for some families to spend some time indoors if the heat becomes too much for the kids. If you buy from the Game of Thrones souvenir shop across from the GoT museum, you may avail of a 20% discount off the entrance fee and you will also be allowed to take some photos whilst sitting on the Iron Throne in the souvenir shop.

    Awesome place for GOT fans
We absolutely loved it! If you're a fan, then this museum is a great place to visit. It also has a souvenir shop in the same street, with a lot of HBO merchandise and an iron throne to take a picture in. The museum is not that big, takes only 30-45 mins to walk through it. It has a few filming props and pictures taken when it was filmed in Split/Dubrovnik. Price is around 10 euro/adult and its situated a walking distance from Diocletian's Palace and Riva.

    Becoming a fan
I came into the GoT museum at the urging of my boyfriend who is a great fan. Didn't know much about it, except the things he always mentions. But after visiting this museum, it has come to light that I'm ever bigger fan that him. There are real life size of the cast of GoT, costumes, swords etc. By the way, stuff is really informative and professional. I would definitely recommend a visit to anyone who wants to see something different and special, even if you aren't a fan of GoT.

Bad experience, overpriced and not enough content to see
Too high prices for the content it offers (100kn for only 4 small themed "rooms"). There are 4 "photo corners", but the lighting in each is way too bad for taking any pictures. In the museum you can mostly only see overpriced merchandises, which you can buy in the souvenir shop after the museum. All things are just (poorly) replicas from the series and not actual stuff they used while filming (like swords, clothes etc.) The best part of the museum is the iron throne, which is unfortunately placed in the souvenir shop, not in the museum itself, which is really a shame. All in all, the museum offers nothing to justify such a high price, as everything can be seen in less than half an hour (approx 20 min) and the statues of the GoT characters are very poorly made.

    Winter is coming
This is from George R.R.Martin essays : The best fantasy is written in the language od dreams. It is alive as dreams are alive , more real than real ...for a moment at least ...than long magic moment before we wake .. Game of thrones books writer said also that we read and watch fantasy to find the colors again , to taste strong spices and hear songs . I liked museum Game of thrones so much , amazing atmosphere and kind stuff. It is place where you can remember that once you watched interesting movie series and read books of Great writer . After visiting museum you want to do that again with tea , cookies , family in time winter is coming.

    Manage your expectations
The museum is a bit of a tourist trap in my opinion and if you set your expectations too high you will be disappointed. Little if anything in there was actually used in the show, it's all just replicas. Having said this, there are a few nice photo opportunities with models of characters from the show and the staff nicely offered to take photos of our group. You can also take a photo on the Iron Throne in the shop across the street. The museum is quite small and were able to see all the exhibits in around 20 minutes so the 14 EUR entry fee is definitely a bit steep. If you're pressed for time then there are better museums that you can visit for less. However, we were in Split for a week and had plenty of time to pay this a visit. It needn't be a priority when visiting the city but if you have the time and are not put off by the lack of authenticity you can pass some time here.

    Museum experience
My friends and I have visited the museum and were just amazed by the interior and lovely staff! We've had a tour guide whom was so great and showed us and explained every detail in the museum. The museum is in the center of Split and can be easily found. I recommend you to visit the museum if you are in Split, believe me it's a great and one of a kind experience.

A Game of Thrones shouldn't miss it!
Combine your Game of Thrones walking tour of Split (either guided or self-guided) with a visit to the Game of Thrones museum! With its sombre feel, medieval décor and original music playing throughout, visitors are transported even deeper into the fantasy world. Inside you will find authentic props, real-sized figures and costumes, famous weapons and miniature sets of Kings Landing and Meereen. It’s not a large museum, but I don’t think a Game of Thrones fan should miss it!

    Simple fun - but overpriced.
If you’ve seen GOT you won’t learn much. It was interesting to read about a bit of the filming and it was good to look around but it isn’t mind blowing. We paid 80 kuna each and spent a little over half an hour inside. Is it value for money? No. But I’m away having a good time and I am a GOT fan. It was a good little mooch around but that’s it. GOT music is on the speaker too so that’s always a bonus. Is it revolutionary? Far from it. If your worried about being ripped off - don’t go in. It is also very small for a “museum”. If anything just visit the shop to get the cracking Bronn T-shirt (it also has LOTR / Witcher / Vikings / Harry Potter etc in there) so that’s worth a look at. If money is no objection it’s worth having a little mooch when exploring old town.

    Extremely Exciting
If you are a GOT fan. This place is a must see. It has all the energy of GOT in the very place where it was filmed. It can be a very exciting of experience being able to explore the museum and then explore all of the outer lying areas in Split were the movie itself was filmed. The host was also very pleasant and informative about the exhibit and the Diocletian's Palace. Also super affordable. Can visit over and over again. 😁

Most of the high reviews seems to be fake; the price was high for what was offered. There is no way this would ever be someone’s favorite part of the city, or could be claimed the “best museum” in a city of thousands of years of history. Don’t waste your time unless you’ve got 15€ burning a hole in your pocket.

If you love GOT (as I do) you probably feel this is a must-visit whilst in Split. However, the museum doesn’t really live up to expectations, and is definitely overpriced - awful dummies of the main characters, placards with basic information (which any casual GOT fan would know), and some replicas of swords/spears/axes etc.. I did like the information on the filming locations and the photographs related to them, but wished there was a bit more of this. You do get a voucher for 10% off at the Christmas shop as winter is coming………I would say don’t bother visiting, but I know if you love GOT you will anyway, and it is a bit of fun - as long as you don’t expect too much!.

Whilst a fan of the TV series, my advice is do not waste your time or your money, this is extremely poor. Visit cost 14.50 Euros each to look around 4 small rooms containing, well, not very much. Then you could sit on the iron throne situated in the gift shop across the road. Save your cash and do something more interesting.
