A beautifully paved promenade in the very center of Spilt that is lined with branded stores, galleries, lots of fast food with a variety of offers, fish market, luxury apartments. It was named after Napoleon's general Marmont, who is responsible for the urbanization of Dalmatian cities and the development of Split. The street crosses Varoš and Get, the two oldest parts of the city.
From Riva to the top of Marmontova promenade there are numerous shops, turning the street into the most important shopping oasis in the city center, and several popular cafes and restaurants are pressed near the top. The witty contemporary fountain, called Pirja, should not be skipped!

This is a nicely paved pedestrianised street that runs from Riva Harbour in the south, up to Teutina ul in the north. There’s plenty of shops and cafes, but that’s about it. I never saw anything special on the street, day or night.

Can’t quite figure out why this is even listed as a tourist attraction!
It’s just a wide street that leads south to the Riva, north to department stores, and is flanked on either side by various eateries and shops. It’s tiled surface is just as slippery as the polished stone surfaces of narrower streets.
Not really sure what the appeal is.

The Marmontova strip has designer stores, souvenir shops, eateries and ice cream parlours. It was quite busy during the day as we perused the area. We stopped to sit in at Bobis, but we sense that a lot of people spend their time in JOKER or Mall of Split for their shopping.

Marmontova Ulica is a street located near Prokurative Square, in the surroundings of the old town of Split. It is a commercial and pedestrian area, where you can walk, see some buildings, eat or drink something and obviously go to the shops. Ok. On Average.

Marmont's street has a problem - popularity. Especially with drunken British or Australian tourists who come to visit it in the night - I have met a few: puking, defecating, peeing where they think nobody sees them. Oh, it does. Or they simply don't care. It spoiled my visit to Split a bit - seeing these barbarians around :-(

One of the the few if not only modern roads in the old town. High street shops, food and lot's of people. Always busy! I believe it is the widest street in the old town.

Great selection of shops located down this street. Most days we would walk down here and there is plenty to look at. The shops are at decent prices and even a few men's shops. At the bottom of the street leads to Riva Harbour.

Marmontova Ulica Split is a busy pedestrian shopper's paradise, leading north of Riva just outside the walls of old town.

Also don't miss Fountain Pirja. It really looks great, and it's photogenic.
There are also several cafes and restaurants and some great shops where you can buy clothes, shoes and much more.
When you go down the street you'll see sea. Such a great view!
