We had a wonderful time touring Trogir and Split with our Croatian Trails tour guide, Tina. Everything ran on time, like clockwork, as they met us at the cruise terminal. Several others on the tour were staying at local hotels and met at the port too. Tina, our guide, was quite funny giving us an "insiders" view of Split, Trogir and Croatia in general. It is one thing to learn much of the history and culture, it is an added bonus to be thoroughly entertained by Tina's humorous commentary. Trogir is a very tiny city, and we visited the old town area receiving a thorough (roughly 1-hour) walking tour. Split was a bit longer as we toured Dioclesian's palace, but like Trogir, the tour was fascinating and fun. The time flew by. Clean, comfortable, bus; excellent, excellent, tour guide, a high value tour that everyone from my 13 year old daughter to my 76 year old mother enjoyed.
If you're on the fence about booking through the cruise line or booking with a local outfit, I can honestly say that I have no regrets booking this, and enjoyed this tour more than the one we had a few days before through the cruise line.
