I traveled to Croatia and Montenegro in June of 2019 with my two teenage sons. I found Croatia Dream on Instagram and was attracted by the boutique, special flavor of their photos. I got in touch with Dragen a year in advance (type A), and together via email we planned an itineraryf . His responses came quickly always and he had great ideas as to how to see both countries. He picked us up in Budva, Montenegro. Very charismatic, smart, great with my sons. Very flexible. And we proceeded to the Bay of Kotor and the surrounding areas. He hooked us up with a local guide there and we went boating; a great day. We then drove to Dubrovnik (maybe 2 hrs?), where he literally delivered us to the door of our rental apartment. (I did all the flights and rentals myself but did check with Dragen first re; locations). He took us kayaking, boating and touring and was basically the fourth family member for a week! 😊 He is incredibly knowledgeable about the Balkan Wars and the geography and political landscape.
Three nights in Dubrovnik and then he drove us to Split right to our door! He lives in Split so he gave us restaurant recommendations.
Hestopped along the way in Mali Ston ( do I have that right?) for famous oysters, a wine tasting and an ice cream in Makarska area. We found a hidden beach; great day. While in Split we took a day trip to Krka and a crazy good roast pig lunch. WWe did do a boat tour out to the Blue Cave which was for us personally, a terrifying experience as the sea had crazy waves. No life jackets. No communication from the crew. Water was crashing over the boat. I called Dragen in a freak out and he very quickly arranged to get us in a regular ferry back to Split. He saved the day! His partner, Diana dropped us at the airport in Split. We also did a trip to Trogir which was lovely. I can’t recommend Croatia Dream enough for private family tour. One hundred percent accessible, problem solvers, great attitudes, and FUN!

We were a group of four friends and got excellent service on our tour to Krka, including also lunch in a cosy restaurant and winetasting on a small vineyard. Our driver Goran was very good driver and told us so many funny and interesting stories. We recommend highly!

Booked a full day small group tour including Krka National Park, wine tasting and visiting the lovely towns of Sibenik and Primosten. Our guide Petar was incredibly charismatic with loads of local knowledge and a wonderful sense of humour. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. Petar managed to pack so much in - thank you!

We booked a private tour to Dubrovnik and everything was perfect. Diana was able to arrange it all for us for the next day on short notice. Goran was our driver for the day and made the long drive much more interesting by showing us Ston on the way there and a couple of stops on the way back. We would highly recommend Croatia Dream and would use them again. Thanks for a great day!

We did the full day Krka tour with a big group of friends and we were so glad we did! Goran arranged everything for us, adapting our itinerary to exactly what we wanted to see and conducting the whole day with professionalism and humour! Goran also helped us to arrange other parts of our trip. I would highly recommend this company as they really take care of everything for you and tailor your holiday to your wants! Thank you!

We booked the Sail Hvar and Pakleni Islands boat tour with Croatia Dream. When we booked online, we revived a confirmation message and email. It asked us to pay to confirm but gave no instructions. I emailed the company and then messaged on What’s App. I was then told that they had no availability for the day we booked. This is despite me getting two successful confirmation messages. The explanation was that their system is set up so that all the calendar dates are open. I cannot understand why they would do this as people book for dates that aren’t even available. It is then frustrating that I had to be the one to make contact to find out what was going on. From reading other reviews, this sounds like an amazing tour. We are just incredibly disappointed that we didn’t get to do it (especially when we got our hopes up after getting a confirmation).

We had a wonderful tour guide Petar who made this trip especially good. He was a wealth of knowledge about the history of Croatia and the more local areas.
We enjoyed as much of the national park as we could and then had a wine tasting and a stop to explore Sibenik on the way back.
Thanks Petar and Croatia Dream for a fabulous tour.

Is there a transfer from Split airport to Zadar

Apologies not sure I didn't go to Zadar, I'm sure if you Google it will tell you
When is the best time to visit Croatia? We would like to see a lot of the way people live. Not, terribly interested in museums. We also love anything on the water. What would you suggest for around 16 days? We would like some days with a private tour, some could be with other people. Fancy hotels don't interest us either. We enjoy more meeting the locals.

Dears,
I would definitely explore Croatia throughout May, June but probably the best would be late September.
The temperatures are still like in summer but not that crowded like July and August.
Septemeber is also good as the sea is still warm and perfect for any kind of water activities.
My suggestion would be to take 2 or 3 location that you will change in those 16 days. Maybe Zagreb 2-3 nights, Split 6 days and Dubrovnik 6 days.
From these places, you can explore off beaten paths and not so touristy locations.
We will be happy to assist you in creating the best possible itinerary for your holiday.
If you have any more questions feel free to contact us.
Best regards
D.
