This tour was perfect. Petar Pulic was our tour guide and he was fun and very informative. He knows a whole lot about Croatia and explains everything in great detail. He was also able to answer all of my questions, and as a teacher, I had many. The waterfalls exceeded our expectations; they were breathtaking. It was too cold to swim but that could not be helped bc it was a trade off for the smaller crowds in April. I would also like to add that I, unaware being in vacation mode, booked this tour that took place on Easter Sunday. Petar was such a great sport about it and it goes to show you just how accommodating Croatia Dream Tours are. The wine tasting was also an added bonus. I assumed we would be taken to a cheap place with garbage wine but they really were great.

Just spent a week in Croatia, before I went I was told that some places are seasonal only. I didn't realise that meant that majority areas, tourist attractions including cafes and restaurants are closed or being refurbished between November and end of March. Unfortunately hotel staff, bus companies, ferries and even the tourist attractions themselves will not tell you this and I ended up wasting time and money.
If you are planning a trip to Croatia the best times of the year are May, June, September and October.
Croatia is a beautiful place, so plan your days in advance.
Must see places to visit are Split (1 day), Hvar (1 day) Trogir (only half day required), whole day in Krka and a couple in Dubrovnik

I decided to book my husband and I’s private tour with Croatia Dream based on their willingness to work with the very specific itinerary I wanted for our stop in Split. Right from the very beginning, Dragan was professional, courteous, realistic, and timely in his emails back and forth with me. He allowed me to create a customized itinerary at a reasonable price and delivered results that exceeded my expectations in every single way.
Dragan picked us up at the entry of our cruise ship terminal on time (early in fact!) and immediately whisked us away for a busy and informative day around Croatia. He is extremely well versed in history and is actually very well read in numerous areas of knowledge as well! We learned so much about this beautiful country while spending time with him.
We started in the town of Omiš as I had wanted to climb the Mirabela Fortress and obtain some stunning photos I had seen on the internet. Dragan escorted us up the fortress, providing detailed information along the way up. It was not an easy climb and he was patient and supportive while I huffed and puffed to get to the top. He also went above and beyond by taking some photos at the very top of a steep ladder for me when I chose not to make that ascent. I appreciated that!
Next we carried on across the mountains to Krka National Park where Dragan allowed us the free time to explore the elevated walkways and waterfalls at our leisure. The park didn’t disappoint. It was a bit busy, but with all of that beauty, I can certainly see why.
Next we drove to the town of Trogir and participated in a walking tour of the area, saw some UNESCO sights, and learned about the town’s history. We were then given some free time to explore on our own and grab a bite to eat.
Last, we drove back to Split and had an escorted tour of the highlights of the Diocletian Palace, some of the ruins around the Old Town, and the Gregory of Nin statue. We were also allotted some free time to explore in Split before having to return to the ship.
Overall, the day was exactly what I had hoped it would be. Other tour companies told me that my plan was too ambitious and couldn’t be done. Dragan and Croatia Dream not only accepted the challenge, but pulled it off without any complications, stress, or worry. I learned so much about Croatia on this tour, and would confidently recommend Dragan and his team to anyone heading to this beautiful country. You will not be disappointed!
Thank you for everything,
Melissa and Steve Styres

Dragon, the tour guide, was absolutely amazing! Really great organisation from start to finish - he contacted me over WhatsApp to arrange pick up and let us know when he was running 2 min late due to waiting for another passenger. He sent me a picture of the van so we knew what we were looking for. He introduced everyone to each other and made good conversations on the way to the waterfalls so by the time we got to the wine tasting it was like drinking with an old group of friends. He stopped at some good scenic spots to allow us to take photos and the information he provided was very impressive. Would definitely recommend this tour or company to anyone. After the trip he offered to help us with any information we needed whilst on our vacation. Really friendly, fantastic service.

Wonderful personal tour in 7 seater. The tour guide had encyclopedic knowledge of all the history and geography of the area. Everything was great. Also included local wine tasting and visit to Trojir and Sibinik.I would definitely recommend this company.

My husband and I visited Split in early July after attending a wedding in Hvar. We had heard from other wedding guests that Krka was a MUST, but we didn't know the best way to get there. A quick TripAdvisor search and a late night email to Croatia Dream and we were set! (Petar was super helpful and quick to respond.) Our tour guide, Dragan, was awesome. Friendly and knowledgeable! We met him and the 4 other group members around 8AM. We drove to Sibenik, a beautiful waterside village, where we spent an hour (approx). From there we went straight to the Krka Falls. Dragan was able to by pass the long ticket lines and drove us right to the park entry point. We spent a few hours enjoying the falls, then left by boat to meet up in Skradin. On our way back to Split we stopped by a vineyard for a tasting (all included).

We booked the trip to Krka national park the day before and got us last two spots. There is usually maximum of 8 people so that the guide can pay attention to everyone. However our group had 17 customers in it probably because of one 9 person group with us, but it didn't matter, actually vice versa and atmosphere was very good. Our host Dragan was very professional and took all of us into consideration. He told us lot of interesting facts about Croatia and overall Balkan's history (but NO politics! :D.
First stop on our way was Å ibenik, a small village by the seaside, with a lot of stairs. We had there about one hour time to spend and walk around a little.
At the Krka national park we had almost 3 hours free time and Dragan told us what to do and what not. The waterfalls were absolutely amazing and everyone should get there once in a lifetime. In this national park you could also swim (but not too near the waterfalls), I think it's not possible in most of the parks.
After swimming and sunbathing we headed in local winery. There we had a wine tasting with local olive oil and cheese. Dragan told us about the wines and the history of the winery. It was actually a small family business and everything was done by hand, not with machines.
We had such a great time with our group and the wines were really good and tasty. Also we were able to buy a few bottles, which was good because you can't find these wines in your local grocery stores.
After coming back to Split we immediately booked our next trip with Croatia Dream!
Highly recommended!

We walked in Croatia Dream to ask for directions on our first day in Split, it was then when we meet Dragan. He is full of knowledge, fun, friendly, loves his home country and most importantly loves his job.. We booked all your tours with Croatia Dream; Krar National park, 6 island tours, trip to Budrovnik and kayaking.
Every morning we would go visit Dragan and ask him 'what should we do today?'. He assisted us not only with activities, but places to eat, shops, directions, dry cleaning places, exchanging money, taxi rides etc. We absolutely loved our trip to Croatia and we really think Dragan added to our experience. We highly recommend this agency to anyone traveling to Croatia.

We were a group of four friends and got excellent service on our tour to Krka, including also lunch in a cosy restaurant and winetasting on a small vineyard. Our driver Goran was very good driver and told us so many funny and interesting stories. We recommend highly!

Booked a full day small group tour including Krka National Park, wine tasting and visiting the lovely towns of Sibenik and Primosten. Our guide Petar was incredibly charismatic with loads of local knowledge and a wonderful sense of humour. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. Petar managed to pack so much in - thank you!

When is the best time to visit Croatia? We would like to see a lot of the way people live. Not, terribly interested in museums. We also love anything on the water. What would you suggest for around 16 days? We would like some days with a private tour, some could be with other people. Fancy hotels don't interest us either. We enjoy more meeting the locals.
Written June 25, 2018
Dears,
I would definitely explore Croatia throughout May, June but probably the best would be late September.
The temperatures are still like in summer but not that crowded like July and August.
Septemeber is also good as the sea is still warm and perfect for any kind of water activities.
My suggestion would be to take 2 or 3 location that you will change in those 16 days. Maybe Zagreb 2-3 nights, Split 6 days and Dubrovnik 6 days.
From these places, you can explore off beaten paths and not so touristy locations.
We will be happy to assist you in creating the best possible itinerary for your holiday.
If you have any more questions feel free to contact us.
Best regards
D.
