I rarely write bad reviews but this is my first one and hopefully the last one.
We are a family of four, joined the "Blue Cave tour with luxury boat" this morning and I'd say this is definitely the worst decision I've made.
We were told by a staff after we've paid and boarded the boat, " we've got a notice for you guys, the blue cave is currently closed due to bad weather so we might not be able to go in but we'll see if it's possible to get in at a later time".
Apparently the touring agencies get calls from the staff who works for the Blue Cave every day early in the morning, so they intentionally hide it from us and only tell us about this after they took our money ( the tour costs 125 euros per head and we are a family of four).
I have a friend who joined a tour with another touring company last week and the same happened ( the cave was closed due to bad weather), but their touring agency was upfront and told them beforehand, and even agreed to refund in full as they understood most of the tourists come all the way for / join private tours just because of the blue cave.
So after being told that we might not be able to go in, the staff from "hello blue cave" told us they will wait around the blue cave and see if it's possible to get in in the afternoon.
They ended up dropped us off on Pakleni island for an hour ( free time) and when we boarded again, the so called "captain" told us he just called and it's definitely not possible to go into the blue cave today.
It's all lies as I approached a taxi boat company on the Pakleni island during our free time, and asked if it's possible to go in today (as they also sell tickets for the blue cave), the person in charge told us they received call early in the morning, it's for sure not possible to get in for the entire day and so he suggested an alternative " green cave".
I explained to the staff from "hello blue cave" that we all came for the blue cave and most of us joined the tour because of it. She( a blonde lady) was really rude and argued that the main point of this tour is not about blue cave.... This is really ironic as the company is named as "hello blue cave" and you advertise your tours online highlighting and making the visit to the blue cave a focus.
On the way back from Hvar to Split, the staff were so unprofessional and rude, when most of the customers were trying to get some rest on the boat that they turned on loud music they like and they were just singing along loudly and enjoying themselves without even showing some respect to the exhausted customers.
I understand that it's beyond their control as to the bad weather and I am not putting the blame on them ( it's Mother Nature). The fact that they intentionally hid it (the fact that you won't be able to visit the blue cave) from us so to induce us to continue with the tour made us sick!!
As tourists, we travelled all the way and paid such huge sum of money hoping for some great experiences. But in return, we got nothing from what we've expected. To be frank, it's not about the money paid/ spent, in stead it's about the way how they treated us ( no respect at all).
They are a SKETCHY and UNPROFESSIONAL company who only care about your money.I you don't want to be let down and wish to have a better experience, I would suggest to look elsewhere even if you have to pay a higher price.
