Cruising around the Adriatic/Dalmation Islands is so relaxing.
36 people plus crew were on our trip with Cruise Director Darko. A truly professional and likeable team.
Perfect weather made this cruise unforgettable in may respects. We stopped at Viz, Hvar, Mijet and Korchula. Every stop so well organised with either meals on board or the opportunity to dine in town.
Every aspect was perfect, but beware Croatian businesses prefer domestic currency and we made plenty of stops at the hole in the wall to top up as they did not want Euro, despite it replacing the Kuna in January 2023.
Croatian wine and food is very good but it comes at a price. Do your homework before you get there.
I can't recommend the Unforgettable team highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble for them,

We were picked up in a comfortable Mercedes van for a private tour of the interior of Croatia. Our guide did a great job of making the day on our schedule. It was an interesting ride on local roads to our destination of Imotski. Along the way we stopped at some ancient cemeteries and water holes. Croatia is full of interesting sites, and our licensed guide was very able to answer our endless questions.
Approaching Imotski was amazing and you can see a huge fertile valley that stretches across borders with impressive landscapes. We stopped at three of the area lakes and our guide provided the details. The tour included the old town and a fort with a complete view of the valley.
Finally, our wine tasting did not disappoint. We tasted 10 different wines (sparking, white, red, and dessert) at the Grabovac winery in Imotski. This place is an impressive old family establishment that dates back to 1812 and is still managed by the same family. We received the Royal treatment during our 3 hour tasting and tour. We definitely learned more than we knew. We bought a variety of wines to enjoy on the rest of our Croatia trip.
Thanks to the team that made this day memorable and educational!

We went on a 7 day cruise on Kompas boat 'My Way' starting at Dubrovnik and making our way to Split and back to Dubrovnik. The whole experience was amazing. The rooms on the boat were a good size. There were 33 people of different nationalities on board. The staff were fantastic and very attentive. We had breakfast and lunch on board and then the evening was free to explore the different towns we visited. The food on board was absolutely amazing. The lunch was like going for a taster menu every day 😋
There were some really good tours included and Inga (cruise manager) gave a very good informative talk each morning about where we we visiting.
We stopped in some beautiful bays to swim and we would definitely recommend the whole experience.

Be honest - do not take customers on a tour with the words Blue Cave in the title when you know that the Blue Cave will be closed that day. Do not pretend that this is a surprise to you after you are 1.5 hours into the excursion. Do the right thing and let customers know ahead of time, offer them a discount, and make the trip appealing to them in other ways. When asked for water bottles, get water out for customers right away. When they ask to swim in the Green Cave, do not tell them no. Instead, say yes especially if the customers will not get to enter the Blue Cave today, and park the boat close enough that they can swim to it. When all 11 customers would like to stay longer at a certain stop, stay there longer - you are not in a rush because you didn't stop at the Blue Cave or at Stiniva Cove. When all 11 customers ask to stop for less time for lunch and end the tour a little early, do it. Offer customers a discount when they re-book because you didn't remember to pick them up at Podstrana.

The fact that I was sent an email to rate the tour I attended is not in the list of available tours says everything. I booked the 3 Island tour from Split with a boat named Blaga directly on the website visiting-croatia.com. I even went to the local office one day before the tour to be sure where the tour would start. At the day of the tour it was a giant hassle, as the boat named Blaga was not there. Thanks to the other tour-agencies at the harbour that finally could tell me which of the boats I should enter. Even the phonenumber on the reservation was useless as nobody answered the call. That gave me a very bad start in the tour, that in the end was very nice.

We booked the panoramic flight "Dioclesian route" over Split and Sinj and Real enjoyed it. The tour over the city was really very nice, Ivan the pilot was very kind and attentive to us, and the organization was very easy thanks to Luka. My daughters could easily see the beautiful landscape thanks to the big convenient windows of the aircraft (I was afraid they could not see much but I was wrong). Maybe next time we go in Croatia we will book another flight, longer this time. Thanks to the team. Christophe, from France

Martin was an excellent tour guide. He was punctual at meeting point, communicated well expectations and timing. Martin was informative about history, culture and nature and provided recommendations about local cuisine, wine, bars, restaurants and other attractions. The Krka NP and waterfalls was beautiful experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my day out with safe driver in AC coach.

The views were amazing and we took a lot of pictures. The guide, Martin, was very helpful and engaged with us and eager to tell us about the history and give us some tips about food and restaurants. Overall a very good experience that I would recommend for anyone who has the time :)

Martin Perić and the driver were so good to us for the trip and tour. More than that he went beyond that by sharing good food choices, places to eat and so forth which does not just help us but also other businesses in Split.
Very well spoken, friendly and explained everything so well.

On the small cruise ships which hold approximately 38 people, is motion sickness a problem along the Dalmatian coast cruises?

Hi, we've just booked a 7 day cruise from split to dubrovnik with jet2 staying on the MS Desire and were wondering what the bar prices were like on the ship? And roughly how much spending money we might need?
Many Thanks

Hi Alice,
Bar prices on our ship were OK, I can't honestly remember the detail but I think a reasonable bottle of wine was about 30 Euro, and a beer about 4 Euro. You will probably need quite a bit of cash, we had to settle up all our bar tab (and add tips) in cash at the end of our cruise, and quite a lot of the shops and restaurants at the different stops don't take credit cards. There are lots of cash machines about though, so it became an almost daily ritual for us to find the nearest cash machine to draw more cash. Overall I think we spent about 1,000 Euro for the two of us between our bar tab (we don't drink a lot, I think just bought two bottles of wine for the cruise, had a glass with dinner each night, they kept our bottle marked in the fridge for the next night), tips (I think we gave a 100 Euro tip to the boat crew in general, and an additional 50 Euro to the barman, and 50 to our cruise guide (who was an employee of the tour company rather than of the boat), the restaurants which didn't take Visa, and the other shops (gifts for family etc.) that didn't take Visa. We didn't need to pay for that many meals on shore, I think all of our lunches were provided on board, and three of the dinners (first evening, last evening, and captain's evening in Mljet), so we only ate out in Hvar, Korcula, and Dubrovnic, and all had lots of options / price ranges. Pucisca is smaller but the boat offered an optional on-board dinner for an extra cost, and we all just did that.
Hope you have a great time, we thought it was a great experience, and a very interesting part of the world to visit.

Me and my husband and looking to embark on the jet2 adriatic cruise and were looking for ship recommendations.......is to worth paying extra for the 4 star or is the 3 star plus as good?
Many thanks
We are interested in a bike and barge trip for the fall of this year to Croatia. We have a group of 6 of us. Any ideas of who to book with, or any details we should be aware of? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Christel

Hi! Just starting doing my due diligence research so please bear with me. Please.
Had originally thought of going on a big cruise boat- Venice then Dalmatian Coast—but stumbled across the option of booking on a small local boat cruise...
Please educate me as to what questions/ issues I need to know answers to.....
Thank you SO in advance! ;-)

See what all is included and if the cabins are assigned when you book. Also, we found that they don't all take credit cards -- which can be a pain!
