This is one of those places where you can still see the locals drinking. It is mot overrun by the tourists only, which makes it charming. The atmosphere is chilled and laid back, despite a small sizes of wine glasses (100ml) but you can always ask for a double as it is quite cheap 😉.
The place is not see easy to find so it feels quite rewarding when you get there and you will definitely enjoy that drink

It's a really nice bar in a perfect location but in desperate need of new management. The two wormen running it don't know the basics of running a bar. They are unfriendly, scatty and a bit mad but not in a good way. They seem to be scanning costumers in a very peculiar way only known to them. Your drink is likely never to arrive, even if you try to get their attention. They probably have six degrees each and think their customers are not worth their attention or kindness. It was the same rudeness and ineptitude five years ago. What a shame.

2 nights in Split. Tried out a lot of bars- ended up spending both my nights here. Not fancy or pretentious. Well rounded and friendly crowd and great staff. Tomislav knew my order without asking. Great place to have a laugh or just chill in a lovely setting!

Fantastic bar hidden away in a beautiful courtyard.
Can be hard to find. If following google maps from the square make sure you take the steps to the upper streets.
Bar was busy on a Tuesday evening when we arrived but didn’t have to wait long for seats.
I found the staff / owners to be very friendly welcoming and attentive. Great music playing as well

I have been here for four nights
Always the same story
The maid (the little lady in the pic in annexed) kept the money every time she brought a beer - 25 kuna price.
At the time of payment she always said that she did not have 5 kuna coins to give you back.... and so she held them back.
She did the same with everyone.
I asked to other persone near to me and also the same story.
Can you immagine how much money she steals every night with this system? Unbelievable !!!!!
Moreover, for two times she did not even give me the receipt and asked if she could keep it. why?
I regret to say that this place is managed by very dishonest persons!!!!
BE CAREFULL!!!!!

My buddy and I walked up and the bouncer literally said “we are closed”. Then let in 5 locals as soon as we turned away.

10 euros for a cocktail,for a terrible caipirinha. No menu, neither drinking straw, neither the possibility to pay with credit card. Never ever.

We went there because we heard that English Balkan gypsy rock band The Cabarats were playing. What a venue. So friendly. a great vibe and a really appreciative audience . After the gig we stayed , drank , chilled & chatted to the locals who told us that they thought The Cabarats were probably the best British band to play in Split.

Yes all of the above. Incredible atmosphere from the grotto entrance to the intensely decorated inner room - all worth perusing and studying. The mannequin just inside the wall coming out of the inner room will startle you every time. Read the walls, enjoy the crowd and definitely partake in the house drink, absinthe mojito. You will enjoy!

This place is masterpiece. Atmosphere is so great, music is awesome. Staff is very friendly, but it is a little bit expensive. Great place to have fun!

Why is someone complaining about 5 kunas? Tip is standard and if the bartender keeps 5 kuna it’s normal don’t be cheap
