If you are into historic architecture (and you better be if you're in this town), this is a lovely place to be. I am attending the Spanish school for 6 weeks nextdoor at Escuela de San José el Viejo. Both the church and the school...More

Found this in a guide book and wanted to check it out. Went twice, and it was closed both times. Looked interesting from the outside.

This is in the city and is now used as an event space. I didn't get to go in but it is worth walking by especially at night as it is very nice.

Just a couple of blocks off the city square, it is a beautiful and surprisingly well-preserved ruin. Nice carvings though some have been vandalize, some mosaics left intact. Seems to be a popular place for weddings.

well, this town definitely has a lot of churches and ruins of churches, destroyed during the big 1773 earthquake. so here is yet another one. nothing to enter, just to see from the street. and to visit only if you are passing here anyway.

I have never been inside of this building but there was a gorgeous wedding that took place inside this place that was amazing. The facade on its own is beautiful and very representative of Antigua

I went to the Spanish school next door to this relic and got to witness fabulous weddings and sweet 15 parties for the entire month. After class, we would get together and sneak over to take peeks and walk the grounds. We would walk into...More

Check with the Escuela San Jose El Viejo. It is next door to the ruin and houses not only a language school but wonderful accommodations in beautiful garden. I just left there last week.
