We have many distinct tours to choose from that will take you off the tourist trail and explore the indigenous villages and mountains around Antigua. We used Simoon! Tours for transportation and an ATV tour and we’re thoroughly impressed with their service and professionalism.
They coordinated a driver for us from Guatemala City to Antigua and then from Antigua to Amatitlan - the cars were clean and comfortable. Our drivers were friendly and professional. It was a bit more expensive than a Collectivo (which they also coordinate if that’s more your style) or Uber, but having the security of knowing someone would be there to get us and would get us to the right place was very reassuring since it was still the beginning of our trip and we were just getting acclimated.

We also used Simoon! Tours for a full day ATV Villages tour and had an Amazing time. Our guide, Diego, was fantastic! Each place we stopped he gave us information on the people and the history and even helped translate when some of the locals could communicate with us due to the language barrier. He was so personable and made the day truly memorable.

I would highly recommend working with Simoon to anyone looking at their tours or needing to coordinate transportation.

Lake Atitlan ATV tour with Yeshua

We did the Lake Atitlan ATV tour with Yeshua and had an amazing time! Yeshua was cautious on the roads and helped us feel very safe exploring the villages on ATV. He was also a pleasure to talk to and shared a lot of information with us about life by the lake. Great tour!

Highly recommend for motorbike rental

Super easy to rent a motorcycle here - they are chill, communicative and require only a 500 qtz as a deposit for the bike (unlike other places requiring much more or your passport). Rented a 200 ccm bike for 6 days for 1500 qtz to do a circle up to Tikal - they had no problem with such a trip, there was no limit km/day limit plus they made extra sure that the bike and the fluids are in a good condition for the journey. And they were. No problem with the bike nor returning it, even though I brought it back dirty and without a full tank - they just quickly checked the bike and gave me the full deposit back. All in all, everything was smooth and for very fair price, can highly recommend!

Thank you for your review, Iam glad you had a good time! But actually our bikes are not meant to do those kind of trips so I guess you were lucky ;). Our bikes are meant to be around Antigua or small trips to the beach/lake Atitlan. If something would happen almost 12 hours away its almost imposible for us to assist you.. bringing it back dirt and without a full tank is no prob :) Gaby

Beware of Shuttle Service

We booked a shuttle to Lake Atitlan at 530am. We were ready to go at 515 because they told us to be ready early. It is 615 and we are still waiting outside. The price Q100 is great but in the future I would pay to go with a company that arrives in a timely manner. Unbelievable. We have been waiting outside for over an hour. The person in the office has done a good job checking in on WhatsApp, however, this communication did not solve our main issue of the shuttle even arriving to our house. Apparently they work through a third party. If you are planning a trip to the lake, I would pay a bit more and go through another company.

Hello, Ofcourse I understand you were not happy this morning and it is absolutely not the type of service we want to give our clients, but the shuttle service you booked is not our service. Iam sorry you had to wait but I do think I did everything I could at 5.30am in the morning to solve your issue. As soon as you texted me the shuttle hasn't passed by I have made sure you got picked up at your address and it ended in you having a private shuttle to the lake. I have stayed in contact with you until the driver picked you up and I gave you a discount for this shuttle and the next one you had planned. You also had the option to cancel and get a complete refund. I did explain you we are not the shuttle company but a third party, something that is really normal here in Guatemala. The shuttle company confirmed your reservation to us so unfortunately there was nothing what we could have done differently. So Good I Went For Round 2

Simoon! Rentals & Tours provided such a great experience. I booked them twice while I was in Guatemala. Erick not only made sure we were safe and having fun but he also provided some historical context that a textbook would not be able to provide. It’s easy to pick up on the morale of a company and I can tell that this company cares about their employees. I can’t wait to go back and book another tour.

Cultural tour- best introduction to Antigua!

We had the BEST day on the cultural tour with Gio! It was our first full day in Antigua, and wow what a way to start our trip and get to know this beautiful place! We got to see a quaint mountain town and observe their way of living, we stopped at several gorgeous viewpoints, we checked out a small chocoleteria and winery up in a small town in the mountain, we stopped by a small place and caught a glimpse of the jade carving process, we checked out the stunning viewpoint of Cerro de la Cruz, and finally ended the tour at very cool restaurant up atop a mountain. Truly a magical introduction to Antigua and Guatemala! Gio, our tour guide, was fantastic! He is very knowledgeable, fun and easy to talk to! We felt our tour basically came with our own photographer because he takes fantastic photos and videos all along the way! I highly recommend taking this tour when you get to Antigua! The company is great too, we plan on using them again for shuttles and other tours in Panajachel!

ATV Sunset tour El Paredon

Last week I went on the ATV tour in El Paredon, which is not listed here in the tours yet (I think it is quite new?). I did the sunset tour on the beach, which I did by myself with a tour guide. We went to some beautiful nature areas and ended on an amazing beach spot from where we could watch the sunset! I really wanted to do an ATV tour during my time in Guatemala and I'm very glad I did it in El Paredon. I'm also happy the tour was possible with just one person. Also, the tourguide Pablo was very nice, he looked out for me well and we had a great time :) Would definitely recommend anyone in El Paredon to consider the ATV tour there!

Best way to visit Santa Catarina and San Antonio!

Me and several friends did the Lake Atitlan Villages Tour and had the best time! The ATVs are automatic so they are easy for anyone to drive, even first time riders. It was a super fun way to visit two of the less well known villages (Santa Catarina Palopó and San Antonio Palopó). Our guide was very knowledgeable and attentive, making sure to take lots of photos and ensure that it was an unforgettable experience!

Very friendly knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. I also liked the office staff

Amazing must do while in Antigua, Guatemala!

It was an amazing experience from start to finish. What a way to see the sunset in Antigua, on ATV’s! Our guide, Daniel, was top notch. He was very knowledgeable and kind and it was very helpful that he spoke such good English. Cerra de la Cruz was a sight to see over the city of Antigua. It’s a bit of a hike down to get in but remember you have to climb up to get out. It was filled with people enjoying the views. Hobbitenango was super cool, great food, incredible views, and nice people. The dude that takes pictures for you while on “the hand” was super kind and gives you memories to cherish with pictures, as well as videos. You can see 5 volcanoes from here. Stunning views. The next time we come back we will make reservations with this same outfit. Extremely reasonable in price and well worth it and great people. Highly recommend!
