We recently booked the one-day Tikal tour with Guatemala Reservations, and enjoyed it immensely. It was very hot this time of year (we had visited Tikal in December a number of years ago, and it was not as hot and humid as it was this time of year (although it is hot and humid year-around). As we had used Guatemala Reservations five years ago with great success (various activities and transports), we asked Nancy to book our Tikal trip earlier this month, and, again, everything went flawlessly with it. We did have a short delay in being picked up from the airport upon the return from Tikal, but Nancy had left English-speaking contact phone numbers for any and all components of the trip should their be issues, and we placed the appropriate call, which was immediately answered and we were informed that our ride had been caught up in city traffic and would be just a few more minutes. Within 10 minutes the ride had arrived. ... Guatemala City traffic tends to be heavy at almost any time of the day. Having now used Nancy and her agency twice, I will confirm that she is always very professional, responsive, and thorough in her travel arrangements. I would recommend her highly to anyone traveling to Guatemala.

My husband, son and I spent a wonderful 10 days in Guatemala thanks in large part to Nancy! Beyond all of our transports between the airport, Antigua and Panajachel, Nancy arranged trips for us to Iximche and Pacaya, as well as to an after-school program in San Antonio Aguas Calientes where we were treated to traditional Maya dance performances by the children! All of our bilingual guides (as well as our drivers) were very knowledgeable and accommodating. Nancy also put us in touch with folks in Santa Cruz who helped us with activities while staying on Lago Atitlan. I cannot recommend Nancy's services more highly!

Nancy Hoffman was recommended to me through many trip advisor comments. She arranged my entire trip. She answered every email I sent, even the most annoying and ridiculous ones. My trip went like clockwork. There were no snags. Transportation, reservations, etc were all arranged and went smoothly. Nancy is just amazing. I cannot say enough nice things about her. If you plan on visiting Guatemala, definitely plan your entire trip with Nancy.

We have since returned from our 4 week stay at Casa Ruinas (Casa Kohl) Candelaria Antigua GT booked through Antigua Rentals. We did not meet H Dreskler but he & his staff are very amenable & easily contactable. Booking, finances and liaison was all businesslike, efficient & we found everyone totally trustworthy. It is a beautifully presented large property situated in far north east corner of Antigua City Unfortunately neighbouring guard dogs bark continually day & night; we made two formal complaints but little changed & one day one of the dogs appeared in the property wall menacingly barking at us. Potential guests need to be advised of spiral staircases from entrance ground level (situating main bedroom) up to living rooms & further concrete stair well to roof area, not suitable for elderly or infirm. This also made water carrying very difficult, my husband is in his 60's & carried 12 large 5 gallon bottles from the drop off point at the entrance up to the living area on the first floor which was difficult & risky! Also we advise potential guests to request fumigation pre- stay (staff told us it would be done post our stay & is often required ) due to 'Mosquitos' that inhabite the garden or water fountain - which we cleaned out ourselves once we traced what we thought was the source of the pests. Be assured we used repellent & burners & plug ins too! The basketball court nearby is busy & interesting, The Hill of the Cruz is very local, street vendor selling fruit is handy but next time we will book ourselves nearer Calle 2 or 3 Norte or Avenida 1 Oriente East is a nice street - as Calle Candelaira is a little too far out when returning from the Bodagona or Market or Main Square by foot with your shopping. We love GT & Antigua, our full 7 week vacation took us to Jalapa, Guatemala City, Panajachel then into El Salvador too. We had an amazing holiday & excellent time in all. Sadly our 'mosquito' bites have left scars & still painful from the stay from over 6 weeks ago!
