Our tour began by meeting Luis at the De La Gente Office and he got everything off to a fantastic start. He was so charismatic and knowledgeable about the process. After learning more about De La Gente, he took us to meet up with Manuel, the farmer we would be touring with that day. Manuel was so passionate and thoughtful throughout the tour. He and Luis were able to answer every possible question the group had and then some. Following the beautiful tour of Manuel’s plantation, he was gracious enough to welcome us into his home for coffee and even more insight into his expertise. We got to meet his wife and daughters who were also wonderful, and this really drove home how fantastic this experience was. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to learn more about an amazing enterprise and some incredible people while getting the most authentic experience possible. I can’t wait to come back and do the tour all over again!

We looked into so many coffee tours and I am SO glad we found De La Gente! The mission of "taking out the middleman" to create more profit for the hardworking farmers is innovative and inspiring. I am so happy to have a chance to support such a wonderful organization. We even get the monthly coffee subscription now! Our day started with meeting Luis at the DLG office. He was welcoming, kind, and easy to communicate with. He took us to Manuel's farm and that's where the real fun began! Manuel was a charismatic and knowledgeable guide and we loved learning from him. His passion for coffee is very apparent and contagious! After we learned about his farm, we got to pick coffee beans. Afterwards, we took them to Miguel's home where we learned more about the process. His home was beautiful and his family was very welcoming. We then made coffee and enjoyed it with Manuel and his wife. Overall, a fantastic day. I could do this tour a million times over and be fascinated every time. This is a MUST DO for anyone visiting Guatemala! Thank you, DLG!

I went on the coffee tour (I don't actually like coffee but I wanted to learn!) And I was blown away by how organized and informative it was. Our translator and the farmer were both lovely and happy to answer all of our questions. We got to have a meal in the farmers house, go to her coffee field and roast and drink our own coffee! Highly reccomend this tour!

My friend and I visited Virgilia’s coffee bean farm yesterday with De La Gente tour guide, Axel. It was a pure joy to spend time with them in the field and her home. Highly recommend this while in the Antigua area. This is a most thoughtful way to support local farmers, while experiencing the nearby town of Ciudad Vieja.
