They still use this building and it houses businesses. Beautifully lite up at night. Walking through here will take you back several centuries when Antigua was the capital of Guatemala.

The museum is a total waste of money in its current state. I am not sure what the purpose of the museum is, but you can read on a computer how different vulcanic eruptions have affected the city. The exhibition is just strange.

The museum is set in Frank Gehry's extraordinary multi-coloured building on the Amador causeway with views to the Pacific on one side and to the countryside on the other. The object is to chart the creation of the Panamanian isthmus and its impact on world...More

This is another grand building in Antigua, but you cannot enter. It is off the main square and can take photos outside.

Anchoring one side of the Plaza, this historic structure is very lovely, While we were there a crafts fair was set-up in front and a parade was held around the plaza with bands, drummers and various dignitaries all with loud fireworks. Just fantastic.

this was an interesting building on the outside to see and take pictures. I didn't get inside the place. There are some good restaurants close by

I do not believe that tours to see inside are available not not. If they are I´d go. It is a piece of history so get a photo and move on. There is a lot to see and do in Antigua.

they must point out or paint the parking areas. They charged me Q 250 for parking with flashing lights and they tried to bribe me and the cops that should not be done with the visitors. The line was not well marked and was for...More

A very long, elegant building with numerous arches built in 1558 that was Antigua's government center until 1773. It occupies one entire side of the central plaza, so you can't miss it. Those who enjoy admiring historic architecture will be most impressed.

The Spanish architecture in this little town is so beautiful to look at. I could sit in the plaza and look at multiple buildings that were different, but beautiful. This was once that was very well maintained.
