The classical view of Antigua Guatemala is of the volcano through this arch, in the early morning. It is a good view at other times but probably worth an early visit if possible

This arch is something you cannot miss if you are walking in Antigua. The story is that a convent demanded that the street be closed down so the Nuns could cross without being seen. A compromise was reached by building this building, which features a covered walkway over the

Yes, it's a must see in Antigua, mostly because it's the best known land mark in Antigua. It's a quick stop (10 minutes) to get a few good photos. Both a night shot and a day shot, of the arch framing one of the nearby volcanoes, will be great additions to your memories of

Not much going on in the streets of Antigua before 8 AM. In fact it is hard to find a place open for breakfast. But if you want a beautiful unobstructed view and photo of the Arch, go early. The street is mobbed in the early evening.
