Surprisingly peaceful and un-mobbed by vendors. Vendors polite, not pushy. Place children-friendly. Plenty of places to eat around the square.

A lovely, vibrant, colourful park in the centre of the city of Antigua where you can experience the local culture and people, both residents and visitors. A landmark for finding your way around.

A short walk from most hotels, Central Park was at the crossroads of activity in town. Adjacent to City Hall, you get a great mix of all walks of life in Antigua. Whether the park is your final destination or you're just passing through, give yourself some time to sit and take in the surroundings.

The central plaza is a great place to meet your friends as it is the easiest place to find in Antigua. The old church is very interesting as a place to visit. We know people who have been married there.

At the end of along day of walking through the city we finalized our visit at the park. It was buzzing with people and as in many parts of the city the surrounding architecture was beautiful. Local vendors and restaurants surround the square and you can't help but feel an energetic local cultural vibe. Worth a visit.

All kind of huskers are in the park, and people from all over the world walk through here and you can get a good feeling of what life is like by watching the Antigua residents and artisan sellers walk past.

This is the central park/point of Antigua, with some beautiful attractions, but also many, many restaurants very closeby!

The Central Park Plaza in Antigua is one of our favorite places because it is an important congregating and relaxing spot for Guatemalan families. We enjoy the street entertainers and the children playing games in a shaded, well taken care of park.

I can't say enough about the plaza. It is the place where you can just be. Take in the views of the cathedral the fountain the people and entertainers. Strike up a conversation and make a new friend. This is where people of all walks are welcome to relax and enjoy the day.

The park is quite touristy despite what the reviews say. it's dotted with locals trying to sell you all sorts of souvenirs. But it certainly has a charm to it when you walk through in the afternoon and locals and tourists alike are sitting on benches in the park hanging out around the fountains.
