Business is NOT closed
Mar 2021 • Solo
This business is not closed. I bought a few pounds of medium roast beans from Tony last week March, 2021. He is still selling chocolate as well. Too bad TripAdvisor won't fix this listing. 2nd ave sir just past 8 calle. Shares a place with a laundry. Price is still Q45 per pound.

Jan 2018 • Couples
Tony is now inside of Red's across from la Merced. The location is a few doors down from Hector's. Coffee beans are still 45q. He also has chocolate and honey delectables.

Buy your beans here before anywhere else
Jan 2017 • Couples
Another review from me about Tostaduria in Antigua Guatemala. I purchased another 10 lbs to bring home and kick myself for not buying another 20. Regardless, many first time tourists don't know about this place and it's a shame. They're paying considerably more money for beans not as fresh. The price is 45q per pound here and the beans are roasted perfectly. Ok, it may be a bit hard to find but if you know where the pillars are with the little park Tanque La Union across from San Pedro Obras Sociales you're almost there. Also if you know Cafe Sky or Toku Baru, it's the block before if you're coming from Parque Central. By all means Stop buying overpriced beans that may have been sitting on the shelf for who knows how long, and go see Tony for the best beans and prices. He also has chocolate, honey and more quality goods. Just go! I've been buying my beans here for many years. Disfruta!!!

We are at home now and trying all of the different coffees we bought in Guatemala. Each morning my wife prepares it , and I guess where it was bought and which type it is. Fernando`s? Mike`s from Crossroads? All have been good, but today especially so! From Tostasduria!!!! Dark roast. So glad we found you at your new location!!

Tostaduria NEW Location 'coffee beans in bulk'
Jan 2015 • Solo
I was at Tostaduria today and it is NOT on 7 Calle Oriente. It is between 9 Calle Oriente & 8 Calle Oriente on 2 Avenida. Tony (the owner) was very friendly (not odd just different) & I bought the light roast coffee beans in a large brown bag for only 45Q. I'm not sure why posts are saying it is on 7 Calle? There was a coffee place there but it was not the one you're looking for if you want to buy the best coffee in bulk in Antigua (in my opinion)...

Move to new location!! 2015
Jan 2015 • Solo
I just went to the old location on 7 Avenida. Tostaduria Antigua is not there anymore. It's a coffee shop, but new owners and the place was done over. Not even close to the same place.

I searched for 2 days and finally found Tony in a small shop at 2D Avenida #34 by Santa Clara. The address is 2nd Avenida Sur #34 a few stores in from 7 Calle Oriente. The building is the same place as Centro De Aprendizaje School.
Tony is open 10-6 except Sunday. He said he may step out occasionally. The coffee is the least expensive in Antigua for fantastic quality. 45Q per pound. He's heavy into chocolate products as well. Chocolate beans, powders and more prepared items.

I've been coming to Antigua over a dozen times in 15 years and I've tasted coffee from every shop here. Tostaduria Antigua is, in my opinion, the absolute best coffee in town. The prices have only risen 10q in 10 years. If you're a coffee lover, do not leave Antigua without stopping here. Enjoy a cup or two, and buy some pounds to bring home. You will not be sorry.

First visited shop seventeen years ago

Was on a different corner great coffee smoke scent. Still get excited when I walk down the cobbled streets and smell that bean smell. If your here and a coffee person welcome to meca.seventeen years hasn't change the experience.

great coffee, but weird conversation
Dec 2013 • Couples
maybe we arrived here at an awkward moment for the owner, the fact is that we started talking about coffee and cacao, and ended up listening to the opinion of the owner about certain political events (mainly in USA) where we barely knew something about...after a while, you just want to get out of the place, no matter the marvelous things some guides tell about the place! A shame, as we were interested in the (coffee) story of this place!

Excellent coffee

I bought the medium roasted coffee beans to bring home and now I'm wishing I'd bought a lot more. If you enjoy coffee with caramel and chocolate tones, you will definitely enjoy this. can't wait to go back again to get some more!
