The trip of my life. Highly recommend the 8 day guided tour. David plans each day perfectly leaving out no details. From the airport shuttles to the welcome at the hotel to the riding itinerary both on-road and off-road, rest breaks, lunch stops, picture opportunities, cultural stops of indigenous villages, excellent hotel choices, just pay and play follow the leader. Now anyone can open a motorcycle tour company but I've never experienced the level of service and organization and desire to please as I did on this trip. David the owner and primary guide along with his support driver Raul took great care of our group of six. They stayed and guided us every step of the way. They were such a great part of why we enjoyed ourselves. We were most all of us from different places who came together as strangers with a love of motorcycles and adventure but parted as friends and brothers. Oh and David is fluent in English, Spanish and French while Raul is a native and fluent in Spanish, English as well as knowledge of Guatemalan history, culture and one heck of a funny guy. Don't give it a second thought. Get a couple friends and take this trip!

I have been on many adventure rides and tours in Canada, the United States, and Mexico but this was my first time in central America. And this trip was flat out amazing!

From the time I landed in Guatemala City until the day I departed eight days later, the trip was superbly planned. The hotels were all well selected for location and quality. Each days ride was a great combination of fun off-road terrain, interesting sites and country side, and cultural interactions.

The six days of actual riding were guided by David who knew all of the areas and could provide details of the local history. Along the way, we made stops at national parks for swimming, seeing ancient Mayan structures, and exploring a cave. Inner-tubing on the Lanquin river was also a memorable highlight. But the riding and scenery was the best part. We rode over 800 km and what surprised me most is that there doesn’t seem to be a single straight road in Guatemala! Whether on pavement, dirt roads, or trails, expect twisties and mountainous terrain. Each day that we rode there were options for pavement or dirt and easier or more challenging.

I highly recommend riding with MAG tours in Guatemala and I am already working on a return trip in 2022.

MAG Tours offers great options for an unforgettable adventure. If you have limited time like me then I suggest the 6 day tour. With 4 of these days on the road you will find incredible views, varying terrain, and many great spots to stop for a bite to eat or a little exploring. I chose to take this journey solo and self guided but there is also a guided option if that suits you better. David, my contact for the tour, was very helpful with any questions that I had leading up to the tour and made sure that I was well prepared with everything that I needed. His response time was always quick and included clear answers to all of my questions. All hotel accommodations were taken care of, good quality and went smoothly (even with my poor Spanish). I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone looking for a little adventure, with novice to intermediate or higher riding skill and a limited amount of time. If you have more time available, then give one of the longer tours a try!

We did the 3-Country tour from the 6th of December returning on the 15th. The trip was simply outstanding and I feel fortunate we could take it with all the Covid issues hampering travel. The variety of landscapes, environments and off-bike opportunities were appropriate and enriching. The guides Evan and Dave appeared to compliment each other very well in their roles with the tour and I have nothing but positive comments about their style and organization. The 250 Honda Tornados were perfect for the varied riding. I strongly recommend this experience to anyone thinking about riding in Central America.

We are a group of 4 bikers from the Czech Republic, we went to Guatemala at the end of April and we found the contact of this rental company on the web and chose it according to the recommendations of others.
It turned out that we made the right decision. The motorbikes were ready and in perfect condition, everything went as agreed in advance. David and Evan have a professional and friendly approach, they advised us and recommended even slight changes in our planned route. At the end of our stay, they even helped us to organise the PCR tests that were required for our departure.
Thank you very much Evan and David, may you continue to do well!
We can only highly recommend you to everyone!

Book with confidence. If you love motorbikes you will have a fantastic tour with MAG. And what a place Guatemala is. Once MAG have assessed your riding ability (on day one) they will take you to places you would never even find with out the Guide. They have put in all the planning work so all you have to do is concentrate on staying upright!. The Honda 250's are perfect machines for this tour. You might think you need more HP but you don't. I had a triumph Tiger XCA in Mexico but the 250 is way better for off road because of the light weight. It will go anywhere you want it to. Don't hesitate. book up and have an amazing time. Mike. Outstanding tour and organization. Everything was flawless from the time we stepped off the plane until the time they picked us up to go home. Raul met our group of 9 at the airport with mini bus and a cooler of cold beverages and of course Gallow beer for the short ride to Antigua. David and Evan always made sure that we were all safe and were having a great time. Every hotel was ready for us when we arrived after each day of riding which was appreciated since nothing beats a hot shower to get the day's dust off. The daily rides were both a combination of challenging trails and open roads with views that are awe inspiring. We had a few minor mishaps in our group including 3 flat tires . No problem! Evan can fix a flat tire faster than I can drink a cup of coffee.

Everyday was a new adventure. When we arrived at the hotel to meet up with our Guide and other riders for the first time, we were told to meet up on the terrace. When I saw the mountains surrounding the entire area I realized how beautiful our trip would be. From a distance was an active volcano. What an awesome site to begin a trip of a lifetime. All of us were blown away and excited and David (Guide and Owner) peaked our interest with each successive day. Your riding skills are challenge and you become more confident with each new challenge you encounter. The group worked like a team as if we were friends and had ridden together for years.

My husband & I, along with 2 friends, did MAG tour’s 12 day self-guided motorcycle tour. David, the owner, had a Honda Tornado that had been modified so the seat was a little lower and it worked perfectly for me. I’m 5’6”. He gave us GPS’s, went through the bikes with us, gave us printed descriptions of each leg, & set us free. We had a choice each leg of either less dirt or more dirt. We chose the less dirt option each day, although there was still plenty of dirt, which the bikes handled just fine. The average day was no more than 6 hours of riding. There were sightseeing options & dining suggestions. We had 2 days off during the ride to do laundry, visit the Mayan ruins of Tikal, & visit Semuc Champey national park. The lodgings weren’t amazing, but they served their purpose. At least they all had hot showers, which was appreciated because we hit it during a cold snap. Some of the lodgings included breakfast. Once we turned the bikes back in, the owners David & Evan were at the shop to greet us & ask about the ride. I would definitely do this trip again through MAG.

What a fantastic 4 day adventure ride with MAG- guided tour by David! We rode the highways, back roads and some pretty great dirt trails. I cannot recommend these guys enough. A perfect blend of riding adventure, touring this beautiful country, meeting the people and experiencing their culture and kindness. I fell in love with it all and am already planning another trip next year- a 13 day, 3 country tour. I cannot wait!! This was something I've always wanted to do. Honestly, every day I was smiling from ear to ear and so appreciative of the time that David took to tell me about the places we visited, the people we spoke with and the food that we ate, not to mention the great riding! AWESOME!!!! All of it! Thanks again!!!
