Great bar with a New Orleans vibe and a speakeasy Mezcal bar that is accessible through a very small door in the wall (you have to bend over to walk through). Bartenders were great, local beer selection was solid.

Nice cool place / bar to check out. Once was the place to get "illegal mezcal” in the old days, still kept its character. Make sure you chat with the owner or staff to learn the great history/story of it.

A very unique place, frequented by western immigrants and locals by day and just about everyone by night. What brought me back again and again is the open minded atmosphere, wacky interior and the infamous Ilegal Mezcal. Live music in the evenings was outstanding and I’m now a fan of Maf e Tula (do yourself a favour and look her up on YouTube). Can’t wait to go back.

Not sure how to review this one... An aged candlelit only bar, kind of weird shabby chic with expat and tourist clientele during the day and a literally buzzing nightlife due to the Ilegal (pictured bottle) that is served best in shots... (don’t shoot it though, sip it). Chris was a wonderful bartender. Prices a little higher than around, but money can’t copy this establishment. It’s a bar you can never forget...... Enjoy....
