We stopped at Windswept in late September just before the harvesting time for cranberries. Consequently, we saw them in full growth with lots of cranberries on the bushes. We were not familiar with cranberry bogs so this was an interesting quick stop.

Windswept is on Polpis Road and is owned and operated by the Nantucket Conservation Foundation. With more than 200 acres there are several trails you can enjoy while viewing about 40 acres of bogs. Definitely do the trail that winds around Stump Pond

Having been on-island for the past 20 summers I would recommend The Fairgrounds, Lolo Burger, The Sea Grille for a great lunch, Easy Street Cafe, and/or Brotherhood of Theives as good and less expensive places to eat. MES
