We love to drive out here to look around. Excellent fishing out on Great Point. We like to stop at the Wauwinet Hotel for lunch or dinner on the way out. It’s fun to see the Bay and ocean at the same time.

Great beach right off the road with brown-sugar-sand. Very clean and seen multiple sea-lions. Location is far away from everything.

Wauwinet is where you go to see the amazing sunsets and have a cocktail at Millie's. Very nice beach area favored by locals. Could be windy though. No rentals, bring your own umbrellas, chairs, food & beverages.

This hotel is actually quite nice, so you might wonder why I give it three stars. I do because of the value proposition. It makes you feel taken advantage of at every turn. Nickel and dimed. In the first place, our room was about $1,200...More

Hotel sitting area has a nice fireplace. They offer complementary wine and cheese daily at 4 pm, though we missed out on this. Staff members are extremely friendly, professional, attentive and helpful. They gave us an umbrella when we departed as it was raining out....More

Love this beach, in all conditions. A little off the beaten path makes it less crowded and more enjoyable. Spectacular place to walk and talk

Toppers (2 Replies)
Hello all, We are renting a house in Wauwinet with our 4 and 1 year old. We were wondering if Toppers would be okay for lunch or dinner to bring our kids? Thanks!

Toppers is considered the high end of fine dining on Nantucket. If your children are impeccably behaved I see no problem, however you may be more comfortable in one of the more family oriented restaurants.
