When we see Brant Point light, we feel like we’ve arrived to our destination. It’s the sign that we made it! Pretty spot to watch the ferries and fishing boats come in during any season!

This lighthouse you see when arriving to Nantucket. great views from the boat. You can also walk to it if you are staying in the downtown area for a totally different view and a small beach with lots of shells.

Rode our bikes out to the lighthouse. Pretty view and visited the USCG station there to say hello. Beach has good view of harbor and to just relax and watch the boats enter the harbor

It's lovely to look at. No wonder, so many couples choose this place to get married. Since 1988 I've been to Brant Point Lighthouse in May and in October many times and this time for the first time shortly before the sun did rise. Incredible!

Loved this spot! We had a photoshoot here on our minimoon and I didn't want to leave! Great views and there are more shells here for picking than other parts of the island

I never in all my thirty years visiting Nantucket fail to spend time at Brant Point lighthouse, an easy walk or better yet bike ride from town, to see the water craft going in and out of the harbor, simply beautiful.

This little lighthouse is such a landmark of Nantucket. You can see it entering and leaving the harbor. It is a nice walk, not too far from downtown Nantucket.

Pretty sure you can access it at any time. The lighthouse itself is not open but the beach around it is.

Unsure about that but made us wonder as well. It would make an excellent B&B or other type rental. What a location.

Hi all arriving in Nantucket on the 3rd of october for 1 night only, we would would be wanting to catch a sunset and sunrise and Im wondering if we should rent a car or does the Wave service run at the times we would need? We are staying at Chestnut House and would like to see Brant Point lighthouse and Madaket Beach . All info appreciated

From the Chestnut House you'll be able to walk to Brant Point. You have to take the island transit out to Madaket. All doable in one day.

Small Nantucket Wedding (3 Replies)
Planning a small Nantucket wedding, (~15ppl), early October, 2014, thinking of Brant Point lighthouse for ceremony or possibly some other intimate location, any suggestions? We also are in need of some place for dinner. Although my fiance is a gourmet chef, our families are certainly far from gourmet. We'd like some place with Nantucket atmosphere, good food-but nothing over the top fancy. Possibly some place with a small private room? Anyone have suggestions? Thank you, very...More
