This is a small charming lighthouse that is easy to walk to. It is on a slip of sand by the harbor and a beautiful spot for pictures. It is quite weather beaten and could use some new paint. The first lighthouse here was built in 1746 and several lighthouses since then either were destroyed by fire or storms. It is near the keeper's house and Coast guard station and offers a commanding view of the beach and Nantucket homes.

This is the first lighthouse you see when coming into the harbor and it's easy to ride a bicycle over to. You can also walk to it from the harbor area but it would be a decent walk because you have to go up and out of the harbor and around. Since it is highly visible there are often people there. I managed to find it pretty empty later in the day because a rain shower had come though. If you rent a bike for the day I recommend getting an E-bike, it makes getting around the island so much easier and there are alot of bike paths. There is a place to lock your bike up too near this lighthouse.

Cool Lighthouse.

Kind of small area inside, it gives you information about lighthouses and it's history inside.
Nice little replica light house situated in a good location in Mystic Seaport.

Brant point is a very small but powerful symbol of Nantucket. It greets you as you enter the harbor area and is there to bid you farewell. The tradition is to throw a penny toward the lighthouse on your departure to assure a safe return.

This is the most accessible lighthouse in Nantucket if you're staying anywhere close to town or the harbor. it's free to visit, but you won't go inside or climb it. You'll walk around it, take some great photos, and it will probably take you all of fifteen minutes to visit before heading to town for other sites, or going in the other direction to Cliff Road or some of the beaches.

This small yet iconic lighthouse sits at the entrance to the Nantucket Harbor and might as well be the logo for the island of Nantucket. When we first saw the little light house, we were uninterested but after walking around the island for a while, we decided seeing the lighthouse unclose and personal was a must. The walk up to the lighthouse was beautiful and right in front of the lighthouse is perfect for a photo.

While Great Point is a much bigger lighthouse it is also much more difficult to get to. This light house is an easy walk or drive with a nice beach where you can gather shells or just enjoy the sights. I suggest you visit at sunrise for a great photo.

Brant point is a beautiful lighthouse standing at the entrance to Nantucket Harbour greeting their visitors to the island. It was the second oldest established lighthouse in North America. The first Brant Point light was built in 1746. The current structure was built in 1901.

You can take beautiful pictures from the ferry. Toss a penny in hopes of returning to Nantucket.

Lovely little lighthouse. It has been through many challenges during its life-But still stands strong now! We packed an evening dinner watching the boats on the harbor near the Lighthouse. It was wonderful and one of the highlights of our trip. We watch the sunset and took great pictures. This was a perfect alternative as many restaurants were completely booked for dining in, but were available for takeout. No crowds-no waiting—quiet and beautiful. Just bring a blanket or some chairs!

We walked from Jetties beach to Brant Point with my dog and it was a beautiful walk by beautiful homes. Brant Point Lighthouse is a great photo opportunity and has great views of the water.
