Maria's house is kept much as it was when she lived there. It's amazing to see what it was like living in a Quaker home in the 1800s. Nothing has been changed or updated.

We learned all about the women of Nantucket and their influence on the island. It was fascinating to learn about how women were treated as equals (from necessity) and their accomplishments. The tour is just long enough - with enough stops to really take in...More

We took a walk on an overcast day and went to this little aquatic museum. The docents were well informed and engaging. The museum is small and we were thankful there were not a lot of people visiting at the same time. There are two...More

This was our second time coming to the Maria Mitchell aquarium on Nantucket and it was great. They have a touch tank where 2 of my kids spent at least 45 minutes just playing with the various live spider crabs, clans, muscles and conchs. Also,...More
