Macedonia arch reminds me of a few others in countries I have previously visited. However, walk through it and discover other sites and Parliament and opposite more statues of the first parliament of Macedonia. It's Macedonia gate but it more looks like the Arch seen in other countries

Of the recent lot of "improvements" for Skopje, this is one of the worst, for three reasons: 1) it is a weird place for it. Because the road to the east of it bends around it, it doesn't feel as though it serves as a gate to the central square area, and it is overshadowed by surrounding buildings (including a nearby shopping mall) such that it doesn't have a monumental quality. 2) Aesthetically it isn't all that good. The white color is odd, it feels a bit squat or inharmoniously proportioned, and of course, it's brand new (but as other reviewers have noted) not necessarily of the highest quality construction. 3) What's the point? What connection does this have with Macedonian history? Why appropriate this symbol? It doesn't make you a Paris, a Rome, or even a Thessaloniki (see the Arch of Galerius there). It is a symbolic form that has no meaning and isn't as good as a thoughtful modern, chosen through a non-corrupt open competition of international architects, would have been for the aesthetics and reputation of Skopje.

Knowing that the country has a desperate need for infrastructure this seems a poor way to spend its money like this. That "Arc de Triomphe" is part of the project Skopje 2014 that wasted millions on statues and fake history stuff instead of creating something really useful.

At the vieving platform there is nothing to see, really. The surrounding buildings block the view... At the roof some tiles were already collapsing...

Extremmely bad copy of Arch of Galerius in Thessaloniki..Stealing Greek monuments was not enough, lets steal some Roman too. The only reason of building it, that I can find, was to have more reasons for stealing part of the state money too..GET SERIOUS..

We really enjoyed this full-day tour through Skopje. The tour is split into two parts: In the morning is the walking tour through the city itself where we learned also a lot about the historical background not only of the landmarks and attractoins, but also the country/city itself. Our tour guide was very friendly and helpful. The walking tour ends at Fortress Kale (very close to the Old Bazaar) where we had 60-90 minutes time for lunch and seeing more of the bazaar. Afterwards the second part continues from there by car to several other locations and finally goes to the the Matka Canyon. There we had 1 hour of free time to either do the long boat tour with a visit to the cave (approx. 60 min), or the shorter tour without cave (approx 40 min), or just spend some time in the restaurant. We did the long boat tour with the cave and can definitely recommend it.
The first part is definitely more interactive, as there is not much to show or talk about during the car ride though the forest and villages. Nonetheless our drive was happy to answer any questions we had.

I 100% recommend this tour as an introduction to Skopje and Macedonia. My tour guide, Martin, provided a great tour around all the key landmarks in the city and always had a good answer for questions I had. I learned a lot about the history of both the city and the country to find out how it has been shaped today to what it is. Great value for money

Really enjoyed my day out. I had limited time in Skopje and this tour is a perfect way to see a lot. First half of the day is a walking tour which takes you past the main sights around the main square, the old railway station, and the site where Mother Teresa's used to live. Our guide was well informed and very friendly. There was an hour break for lunch before being picked up by the mini bus for the other half of our day. The cable cars up to the Millenium cross were really stuffy as it was a hot day.
The highlight of the afternoon was certainly the canyon.
Our mini bus had an A/C issue during the afternoon so a replacement bus was delivered.
All in all I would definitely recommend this tour company.
