Went for a great run in the woods of Boston Hill, Holt Hill and Scrub hill. I mixed it up running on the narrow trails and woods roads. I hadn't been on the Margaret's trail and it was worth the trip. Great place for a short or long hike and some unusual stuff (bog, solstice stones, views of Boston).

Easy hike for the kiddos and dogs. New England views and lots of birds to see. Birdwatchers and nature lovers will enjoy this place. Bring a picnic lunch or a frisbee and enjoy the outdoors!

This reservation offers beautiful views of a bog pond some solstice stones and even meadows. And once at the top on clear day you can see the Boston skyline. The terrain is varied with hills. It can get buggy for sure but it is a wonderful find on the Andover/North Andover border.

Great hike, fun to do with kids. Neat little boardwalk to bog. Nice views of Boston. Can get buggy so bring bug spray. Can be wet after rain.

Love this place for a quick walk with the dog or the kids. On a clear day you can see Boston and the meadows are fabulous when the trees are in bloom. Quite the nature ramble for little ones.

A natural gem on the Andover/North Andover border - multiple environments, beautiful views, a bog pond, solstice stones, varied terrain, an orchard, and much more.

One of our favorite walks - a number of ways to hike this place - a beautiful boardwalk that leads to a pond and back again, to a long, challenging hike up to Elephant Rock and then back up to Holt Hill (takes us about an hour) to just parking at the lot and walking up the paved path to... More

We traveled to the Ward Reservation to find Holt Hill. As a descendant of Nicholas Holt I was interested in seeing where my ancestors started out. The views from the top of Holt Hill are breathtaking, and the trails are great for all ages. We will definitely make another trip to walk the trails during foliage season.

This spot is only a few miles from my home but it can feel like I drove 2 hours to NH. The trails are well marked and different loops provide variety for return visits. The solstice stones at the top of Holt's Hill are a great view point and a place to consider the changing NE seasons.
