I decided to give a seaon subscription to friends as it would ensure us catching up on each other. I was only able to go to one night's entertainment, but my friend did go twice. The venue is very casual and the production was well done.

What an enjoyable way to end the summer in DTA. The performers were excellent, the orchestra was amazing and really enjoyed the show. Will make this part of our summer ritual. The cost is pretty minimal. I would bring a seat cushion next time or perhaps they could do a fund raiser and purchase seat cushions for everyone would be a good winter project for the theater or get a corporate sponsor to purchase them and let that be in front page of the playbill. That was biggest complaint I heard about the ASGT. $1 for a bottle of water or candy is wonderful! Keep up the amazing work and see you next summer.

This is an amateur theatre in an uncomfortable outdoor setting. I would not recommend it or got back. Seems to primarily attract visitors, not the locals who know there are better choices. Go see Annapolis Shakespeare Theatre play at Reynolds Tavern or their show on the lawn at St. John's College. They are amazing professionals!

We came upon a billboard outside for "The Producers". This is one of my favorite comedy movies of all time by Mel Brooks. They were sold out, but I came before the show and patiently went on the wait list. Thankfully someone did not show up and we went in to see the show. Theatre is actually outdoors and open to the sky. Production was very original, yet true to the Mel Brooks storyline. The cast did an excellent job and merited a standing ovation at the end. I highly recommend going to the website or calling if you plan to come to Annapolis. The show added to our weekend visit.

Thanks for your 5-star review, FunlovingJohn! We're so glad you could include a stop at ASGT in your visit to Annapolis. Of course we believe that an outdoor performance in a unique historic venue like ours is a pretty special way to experience Annapolis' downtown scene, but it's always rewarding to hear it from a new visitor. Thanks for helping to spread the word! We hope to see you again!
