Compass Rose is a black box theatre, in other words, no frills, it's all about the play and the actors. It is small and intimate. You will be close to the stage and the actors. My friends and I were there to see the French...More

Went here over the Christmas holiday to see Camelot and was pleasantly surprised. The theatre is sort of small and intimate holding no more I would say than 80 people. The stage too was small but the theater made most of the stage! The performers...More

We saw 'God of Carnage' last night and highly recommend checking it out. The production is an hour and fifteen minutes of well done performance.

The ticket price was $40. For a $40 ticket, I expect a pretty stellar show. The show, Hamlet, was fairly lackluster. It was a black box theater with no set, minimal props, on a tiny stage with an audience that barely fit 50 seats. The...More

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof was spectacular theater! Compass Rose is on par with any theater in the DC/Baltimore region; fine acting; welcoming staff; clean and tidy; not a bad seat in the house! Very professional and well done performance with a stellar cast.

This is a small local theatre with open seating but not a bad seat in the house. We saw the musical Brigadoon which was first rate. We'll definitely go back for another show.

This place is quite easy to drive past as it is set back from the street and only has a sign on the front of the building. Parking is extremely limited, although there are parking garage options nearby, and if you are lucky you might...More

You might not expect much when you see the unprepossessing exterior of the Compass Rose, a small building tucked next to a car dealership, but you would be wrong. This intimate theater does absolutely superb productions of everything from comedy to tragedy to musicals. If...More
