We were glad to see this small park on the map because it was so convenient to our motel across the Severn River from downtown Annapolis. We were staying at the Navy Lodge and wanted some place to take our grandson outside without driving much distance - the park is only .7 miles from our lodge. Although the park is... More

This small park is a good launching spot for kayaks onto the severn river if you have car transport. It is more wide open than spa creek but will have lots of boat wake in the afternoon-go early. Its also a good place to park and bike or run either back towards town across the bridge or up the hill... More

This place is nice for a stroll, but in all honesty, there is a fair amount of trash and/or fishing refuse strewn about. Maybe I made it there on a bad day? Even so, it was fairly pleasant, but nothing really to write home about. The kids enjoyed walking along the rocks and watching the people fishing. The view of... More

Nice place to walk and enjoy the sunset. Swimming here can be very dangerous. There is a steep drop and swift current. Lots of fisherman on the old bridge and rocks.

This park was very nice. It is practically in my back yard but I never knew it existed. We had a great time enjoying the calm atmosphere while strolling and sitting in the park benches. Nice afternoon and my kids (13 and 16) really enjoyed it.

Easy access for cartop kayaking, soft landing for kayaking and paddle boards. You must drop off and leave your trailer at the WWII Memorial if you bring it. Only cars are allowed to park. Spaces for about 30 cars max. Beach, picnic tables, shade, fishing pier and washrooms. What's not to like?

We love visiting Jonas Green State Park. This past weekend we took our dogs to the park to walk along the beach. If you look across the river you can see downtown Annapolis and the Naval Academy. There were families there who were picnicing and fishing. You can fish from the rocks or from the old bridge/fishing pier. Also, from... More

It was actually quite nice to come here to end our day trip to Annapolis. Lots of little groups of families either fishing or having picnics. Not as big of a place as I thought but maybe it's cause we only went to the trail on the left? not sure. Either way, would totally come back and bring some chairs/food... More

Actually it's a great place to fish - former bridge serves as wonderful fishing pier. This small park has restroom facilities and a great place to view sunrise and sunset - any time of the year.
