The memorial was just a quick stop on our trolley tour of Annapolis, but it was quite lovely. There is parking behind the memorial and amazing views across the bay of the town and the Naval Academy from the terrace above it. It's not the scale and caliber of the WWII memorial in DC, but it is a nice stopover... More

Our trolley made this our only stop in its 45 minute tour of Annapolis, and ideally so. The little rise above the World War II Memorial, visited along a path through shade trees, offered us a few moments of quiet contemplation. The views of the town amidst the quiet were welcome, an elegant spot.

We stopped to take advantage of the overlook which provides a panoramic view of the Naval Academy, Maryland State House and Severn River. The steps to the overlook were being repaired so we went to the lower overlook that provides a similar view but even more importantly is a memorial to Maryland people who died defending the USA during WW... Begin at the top of the Mount and you can see across the water the view of the US Naval academy athletic fields and into portions of the waterfront surrounding the town. Sunrises at the top of the Mount are magnificent. Individual carved stones for Memorials dot the landscape of the enclosure. This is also a wonderful spot to watch... More

There are a lot of markers and artistic presentations that take time to read and observe. There are audio great views of the water and academy from here.

Lovely landscaping and touching memorial to the Maryland casualties in WWII. The plaques were good descriptions of some historical battles in the area.

We were in the water front area and noticed the trolleys. Took one of the tours. My wife and I along with our dog Brennan took the tour. Nice to sit back and let someone show you around. But onto the Memorial We found it to be quiet, a somber place to view Annapolis and reflect on the past. Very... More

We took the trolley tour ( it's not a hop on hop off) & this was the only stop it made. The Memorial is off the highway & you would probably miss it but don't. Notice the flags & read the inscriptions - lest we forget !!!

Great experience, suggest bringing children between the ages of 10 yrs and UP. Must include a 1st person narrative for younger visitors and chance to do a Civic duty and speak on Civics to explain that Freedom is NOT FREE!
