This memorial is a perfect place to ride bikes to, next to the GOLD Star family memorial. The ride is over the Naval Academy bridge and has great views back onto the Naval Academy as well as visiting both memorials.

This memorial seemed easy to get to. I was not driving but could easily see the signs. There is a wonderful view overlooking the harbor from this peaceful memorial. Just drive to the top of the hill right behind the memorial and there is parking.

This memorial is well done and tells the story of our World War II heroes. And the view is outstanding. It is a great place to reflect and pray for our country.

I was impressed with the layout and thought that went into this memorial. In many ways it feels like a "personalized" version of the large WWII memorial for US WWII vets in DC. The rock work is beautiful and the personalization (names of all the...More

This memorial had been updated over the years. The setting is beautiful and the monument is tastefully done. And the view of the Naval Academy across the Severn River is the best in the area. If one is passing by it is worth the stop....More

Nice spot to briefly get away from the crowds and take a minute to think about what really matters. Very nice view from the overlook

The memorial has a really good vantage point to see the Naval Academy and the Severn River area. As a historic site, it's a smallish monument to those who gave their lives for our country. Worth the time.

I stumbled across this while looking for a gas station. My husband and I returned there and were so glad we did. It's a small place and took less that 15 minutes to enjoy but it was worth it. The view of the Naval Academy...More

Tucked away between lanes of traffic is a amazing tribute to the servicemen and servicewomen who went to war for us. The memorial is very moving and there are very informative descriptions of key aspects of the history of the War.

As stated above, this is a monument area with a wonderful view, but no museum, The WWII Museum in New Orleans is a good suggestion- you can probably contact them on-line and ask about donating your dad's "stuff".
