This stop on the trolley tour of Annapolis provides a very brief opportunity to honour those who have given their lives for freedom. It would be appropriate, for those with independent transport, to have a little more time here. A well presented memorial, set on a hillside outside the main city area and providing views back across the water to... More

Enjoyed the self guided tour of the Memorial while on the Trolley tour in Annapolis. 15 min. was enough time to see the memorial and appreciate the men who lost their lives for our freedom!

I've lived South of Annapolis my hole life so I never knew about this memorial or it's location until recently. I decided to check it out. Not only is it a great memorial honoring all that served in every theatre of WW II but it's a great view of down town Nap Town.

This place is often overlooked by visitors, since it is a little outside historic Annapolis. Not only is it a a wonderful monument, but the place also offers a great view of the Naval Academy and Annapolis.

Every American should see the Maryland War II Memorial to be reminded that all the freedom that we all enjoy in this world is due to the sacrifice of these brave men.

You'll appreciate the view of the Naval Academy as you get out of your car to visit this memorial. Names and dates are provided so you get a sense of history. Not walkable from harbor.

The memorial was just a quick stop on our trolley tour of Annapolis, but it was quite lovely. There is parking behind the memorial and amazing views across the bay of the town and the Naval Academy from the terrace above it. It's not the scale and caliber of the WWII memorial in DC, but it is a nice stopover... More

Our trolley made this our only stop in its 45 minute tour of Annapolis, and ideally so. The little rise above the World War II Memorial, visited along a path through shade trees, offered us a few moments of quiet contemplation. The views of the town amidst the quiet were welcome, an elegant spot.

We stopped to take advantage of the overlook which provides a panoramic view of the Naval Academy, Maryland State House and Severn River. The steps to the overlook were being repaired so we went to the lower overlook that provides a similar view but even more importantly is a memorial to Maryland people who died defending the USA during WW... Begin at the top of the Mount and you can see across the water the view of the US Naval academy athletic fields and into portions of the waterfront surrounding the town. Sunrises at the top of the Mount are magnificent. Individual carved stones for Memorials dot the landscape of the enclosure. This is also a wonderful spot to watch... More
